I am planning on it very soon. I have to buy the stuff though and we are having a blizzard right now so i cant get out. I'm also going away next weekend to my grandmothers in Maine and it's hard to be on a diet when i go see her b/c she makes me eat! Sh'es your typical Italian Grandma. I think all grammas are like that though. We know how they can be ! I am definetly going to do it. I'm planning on doing it to the maximum. 40 days I believe it is. I'm not working right now so i think it would be a good idea to be on it while im home all day...if u know what i mean

Hey L2d How is the diet working for you and your sister? I had a question...Do you use a juicer to squeeze the lemon or do you do it by hand? I also wanted to know how you make the lemonade but because i dont know if im doing it right.

it went great -- up until saturday night!! we pigged out in front of the TV watching Zoolander! During that four day "fast," i lost a little over 5 lbs, so that's good! lol I did start up again today. I use the juicer when I have time, such as in the afternoon, but in the morning, I just squeeze the lemon! I personally do not add the syrup or the cayenne powder, but I heard that it helps boost energy, so if you like the taste, add that!! Are you still planning on starting, or...?

i dont really wanna squeeze a lemon in the car Is this a euphemism for 'movement'? So is "next Tuesday" tomorrow? Are you starting your diet tomorrow? I was doing well being back on my diet... until I got a hankerin' for those stupid wafer cookies! Yum! I am proud of myself for my daily calisthenics. It feels good getting stronger, toner, and more flexible. I'm trying to look good for my trip to Vegas in April!

you gals are nuts!! pancake, i'm glad that you're motivated!! i wish my sis was, but i guess it might be easier going through it alone this time... i must warn you before you start that you might get headaches the first 1-3 days, which is your body trying to tell you to stop, but if you can, try to ignore them and after the 3rd day, it'll be great!! just wanted to let you know...

Does your sister not want to do it anymore? You know people always say that its better to diet with someone but i dont find that helps at all. Usually the other person isnt motivated and it hold you back. Im not saying your sister isnt motivated please dont take it that way I cant wait to start. I dont mind headaches i'm used to them

no, my sister doesn't want to do it anymore because she's a little brat! lol yeah, i also believe that dieting with someone else doesn't really work. i tried it with her, and if it wasn't for her, i would still be on the "fast!" and besides, diet buddies hold you back! lol oh, and my sister isn't motivated at all to do anything in her life right now besides sit in front of the comp or tv like i said, she's a brat! (love ya sis!)

Pancake, I didn't see your new postings until late tonight. Now you've got ME laughing at squeezing lemons. The phrase will never be the same anymore to us! Here's another euphemism for you. You might already have heard of this: "I've got to drop some friends off at the pool." Sorry for the gross-out. I never did have a real sophisticated sense of humor. (Ben Stiller's bathroom comedy makes me roar). OK, back on topic which was fitness & diets... I do really well for a couple of days, and then I fall down. Today I was super good all day, and then tonight on the way to art class, I stopped at the gas station and bought a king size Snicker's bar and TWO pecan nutty round disk things. The pecan disks were just about pure sugar! They tasted really good though. Oh yeah. I'm still sore from my calisthenics, but that's a good thing. I didn't have time to do any of them today. I probably won't have time tomorrow either unless I get up early and do 20 minutes or so - which is better than nothing.

Pretty funny timing, Tex, after your last post but have you started your Pilates workouts yet? ? I have now done 5 workouts, because I do them every other day since Feb 24 when I started, and they are great!!!! I do feel better! But, I've heard you have to do 10 before you actually feel better noticeably, so being half way to the 10, I'm just really hoping that I notice a difference!! Haven't gotten on the scales yet..................but I'm so proud of myself for doing the workouts !!!

WF, I finally received my Pilates workout dvd, but haven't had a chance to work with it yet. I look forward to that chance. I've been working on some new portraits to take with me to SXSW to use as banners. Who knows? I might get really lucky and get myself noticed. Ha, now that will require lotsa luck!
