I'm totally wearing out my newest CD titled "Desert Roses & Arabian Rhythms." It's a compilation CD of various artists. There are Vol 2 and Vol 3 as well, but the first one is the best one.
It's published by a company in California called Mondo Media and available from amazon.com.

Very cool game! I did Willie Nelson 100%, Springsteen 100% and Green Day 50%. It would be great for 2 people to play!!

Well, it does show your average compared to everyone else's. I kept on getting 100% and in less than half the time everyone did. But I was picking singers that I love!

I'm updating this thread cuz I know we've all bought new music since anyone last posted here.
My latest acquisition:
Rachmaninov Piano Concerto #2 and Variations On A Theme By Paganini, Mr. Lang Lang, pianist, with Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra.
I recommend any pianist with orchestral accompaniment of these pieces of music, but this is an especially great rendition. The opening 3 or 4 bars of the Concerto #2 begins at a slower tempo than I usually hear, but this just increases the drama. A musician might say this rendition is too schmaltzy because of the exaggerated crescendos and fortes, but I love it.
Mr. Lang's piano skills are so great that he makes it sound effortless, and his fingers sound like he has no joints in them at all the way he glides up and down the keyboard.
To me, it doesn't get any more romantic than Rachmaninov, and the Piano Concerto #2 is especially passionate.
A close contender would be Richard Addinsell's Warsaw Concerto. That's because Addinsell purposefully wrote the Warsaw Concerto so that it would sound as if Rachmaninov had composed it. And he nailed it.
OK, anyone else have new music they would like to tell us about?

I'm on a mission to get anything of Joss Stone's, and I need to get Brad Paisley's "Time Well Wasted". I need you to tutor me, Tex - the music you mentioned seems wonderful! I also love the word "schmaltzy". I'm going to add it to my vocabulary.

Thank you for the compliments, Remi.
Yes, I think Sergei Rachmaninov is the most passionate of the romantic composers. He and his fellow compatriot, Piotr Tchaikovsky.
The 2nd piano concerto will quickly put you between the sheets - even if you're alone. LOL.
I should have added that anyone familiar with music of the 1970's will recognize the second movement of Rachmaninov's 2nd piano concerto. Eric Carmen borrowed heavily from it to write his song "All By Myself."
No disrespect to Eric (and I do commend his good taste), but the emotion Eric needed words to convey was communicated so much better in just music by Sergei.
Thanks for all your contributions to this thread, everyone.
