What I listen to depends on my mood...but like lots of people, its a little bit of this a little bit of that... Mostly though its country...Keith Urban and Katrina Elam and Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw and Faith Hill and Nickel Creek and Alison Krauss are in my cd player a lot...usually keith and katrina though. If I get homesick for Texas I play any of my Pat Green or Willie Nelson cd's. If I'm not feeling like country its usually Sheryl Crow (I really like her greatest hits cd) or Aerosmith or Kid Rock. I love me some nasty gross Kid Rock...just hits the spot sometimes!

I will listen to almost anything, except Rap. I listen to country mostly. But, I'm a child of the 70's and 80's rock. I love Tom Petty, Pat Benatar, Van Halen, The Scorpions, Aerosmith, AC/DC, and ZZTop. I also absolutely adore The Eagles. My favorite CD right now is Sara Evans "Restless"(country). Here's the link to the CD if you're interested (they don't play the full song). Click HereMy favorite song is "Otis Redding". If you live in my neighborhood, you'll hear me and the girls singing "Suds in the Bucket" at the top of our lungs while driving by. And Fergie... One of my favorite all time CD's is "London Calling"!! Oh, it brings back memories. ;D Oh, Ru-u-udie can't fail!

Remi, I'm a child of rock also Currently stressed out to the max making a wedding dress...... So to de-stress a little I'm listening to Damien Rice...Cannonball... here are the lyrics.. There’s still a little bit of your taste in my mouth There’s still a little bit of you laced with my doubt It’s still a little hard to say what's going on
There’s still a little bit of your ghost your weakness There’s still a little bit of your face i haven't kissed You step a little closer each day That i can’t say what's going on
Stones taught me to fly Love, it taught me to lie Life, it taught me to die So it's not hard to fall When you float like a cannonball
There’s still a little bit of your song in my ear There’s still a little bit of your words I long to hear You step a little closer to me So close that I can't see what's going on
Stones taught me to fly Love, it taught me to lie Life taught me to die So it's not hard to fall When you float like a cannon.. Stones taught me to fly Love taught me to cry So come on courage Teach me to be shy 'Cause it's not hard to fall And I don't wanna scare her It's not hard to fall And I don't wanna lose It's not hard to grow When you know that you just don't know

Music is something I definitely appreciate, good thread! I am also one of those people who listen to anything and everything. At the moment I am really into the blues and artists with blues influenced music. The main ones are: Stevie Ray Vaughan Eric Clapton Jimi Hendrix Buddy Guy You'll notice they're all guitar players, I play the guitar and they're pretty much my heros. SRV is a god. He plays guitar so well I want to cry. My one wish is to play that good before I die. My favourite musician of all time is John Mayer (also a guitar player you'll note). I've seen him in concert, it was the best night of my life. I also love: Maroon 5 Joss Stone Metallica Live Pearl Jam 3 Doors Down And that's just naming a few. I'm afraid we'll be here all day if I name the lot .

I just purchased the Garden State soundtrack and I highly recommend it.
I adore Nick Drake -- and of course he's included. It has introduced me to The Shins, Zero 7, and Frou Frou.
Plus it includes Remy Zero (boys from my home town in Alabama) and Thievery Corporation.
I am also really into Will Oldham right now. He's the genius behind Palace Brothers, Palace, Bonnie Prince Billy and publishes under "will oldham" as well. He's also associated with Birmingham, Alabama and was the young preacher in Matewan -- an amazing John Sayles film.
That's where my head is at right now!

Ok last week I ran out and got Shooter Jennings (aka Waylon Jr's) new cd "Put the O Back in Country" I love it! Its very in your face, old-school hard rocking southern rock/country. He isn't a great vocalist but the cd kicks butt. Think Kid Rock's newest cd...but more countryish I guess.

Only just seen this thread - what a great idea! Like most of you I listen to most things. One band I'm just getting into alot is the Kaiser Chiefs. They're a "new" band just coming onto the english music scene. (Just had their 1st UK chart hit). There music is a bit retro 80's - a bit raw and banging! My boyfriend says I probably think they are so good 'cos I was a teenager in the 80's so it was my era! Also really into listening to Robbie Williams Greatest Hits album while having a soak in the bath. We've got speakers sunk into the ceilng in our bathroom so it's great to have music on while relaxing in the bath. My boyfriends idea to put speakers in the bathroom when we gutted our bathroom and started again. I thought he was mad at the time but what a brill idea!! Is it just me or does anyone else think Robbie Williams is ? Not as good as the Wilsons obviously but a close 2nd!!
