I saw this at statesman.com:
"Q: I was an extra in "The Wendell Baker Story." I would like to write Andrew, Luke and Owen Wilson to tell them how I spent the salary I earned. I think they would like to know that I bought a tree to plant by our plots in the cemetery! My husband and I purchased two plots years ago, and there was no tree nearby.
Now there is a lovely oak tree named Wendell Baker! I think of the Wilsons each time I go there to water our rapidly growing shade tree. Being in the movie, even for a short time, was great fun. I even saw the boys' mother, a very attractive lady who taking still pictures of our scene.

Pretty great! and they named the tree Wendell Baker!

Remi, really? I already bought a copy months ago. It was a pre-rental, from the video store.
Hey, first one to PM me, may have it. For free. It of course only plays in Europe, unless your dvd player is region free.

Pod, that's very nice of you! Congrats Lom!! #clap#
I don't know why the UK had to wait so long before the release date... it's weird. The Netherlands got it on DVD before anyone... #dontknow#

The Netherlands got it on DVD before anyone... #dontknow# Hmmmm, that is weird, I remember moving into my studio last August and shortly after that stopping by the local video store, found it there in the former rental sales bin. I love those bins, usually I'm able to purchase the dvd for a cheaper price then the rental would be.

The Netherlands got it on DVD before anyone... #dontknow# Ok my original reply was deleted but oh well lol yes, thanks! I saw it today, great movie, I enjoyed it thanks again Podbaydoor/Noa and thanks for the postcard lol I just got that - I thought it was an official leaflet thing that came with the DVD *doh* haha I made a few signatures from the movie which you can find in the custom avatars and signatures thread under members only, for anyone interested (Luke & Owen ones) and I've typed up a review of the movie too, if anyones interested, here it is:- I had to request the DVD as a product for Ciao as its not current in their database but im pretty sure they'll add it as I say its coming out on DVD here next month so I hope they do and I typed up my review in the hopes that they'll add it, so I can submit it properly... and you earn a bit more if your the first to submit a review for an item so that'd be even better for me hehe. It was a bit strange/difficult to see Owen as such a bad guy though, noo cant believe he'd be quite so mean! lol but Luke was v. good in this movie I thought, maybe he's growing on me a little #wink# hopefully this post wont disappear lol...

How freaky is this???
I was looking through a list of dvds for a customer and a Region 2 copy of Wendell Baker popped out on my screen..........i tried not to scream the shop down!!. So i checked it and considered buying it.
When i got home, Mr H said he had a gift for me (nothing new with him) and it WAS a copy of TWBS. He had brought it at Asda for £5. Bargains.
So UK fans.........head to Asda! Its available.
And..........the bonus material is awesome and so funny. Andrew and Luke talking to Seymor and Harry Dean is excellent. Great photos too...................check it out.
SO i have a german copy of TWBS to sell. The film is in british but the case is in german/dutch!
