I'm curious how all these experts know so much... that Owen is "bipolar," and has a history of depression, that the friend Owen had an alleged fight with is Wes, and that whoever is supposed to be Luke is actually Uncle Joe's older son and that Uncle Joe has 3 kids.... Obviously the gentleman is not Luke but how does anyone know who he really is?
Anytime something like this happens, rumors get created exponentially and take on a life of their own. (Remember all the infamous "evidence" of Iraqi WMD?) I'm ashamed to admit I fell for the suicide attempt story since it has been repeated by so many different sources, and it also seems to fit with all the secrecy. If Owen had only slipped in the shower and bumped his head, why not just say it? After all, it's an accident that could happen to anyone. Maybe it will turn out to be true that he did attempt suicide. He must be under a tremendous amount of strain - I have no idea what it's like to be that successful - and maybe he became suddenly overwhelmed by his own success.
But I agree with Librarian & Remi that we should wait for confirmation before jumping to conclusions - which, admittedly, I've done. Who knows? Maybe Owen himself will come forward someday and explain what happened - maybe on Larry King Live or something. All I do know is that I feel very badly for Owen (whatever the reason for his hospitalization) and his family. I've been foggy-headed, subdued, and downcast - almost as if somebody had died. It didn't help that I've been worried for Owen for a while; I had even visualized Andrew & Luke keeping a hospital vigil - which feels really creepy. It also didn't help that my work buddy said something inappropriate about Owen to me yesterday. I know she didn't mean to hurt my feelings but she did. You Wilsonettes are the only ones who understand how I feel. Thanks for putting up with my random rambling...

Poor Luke he looks really distraught. We may never really know what happened and I guess we don't really need to know. All I need to know is that Owen is receiving the best possible care and that he will make a full recovery. My thoughts and prayers are with Owen and his family. Get well soon Owen.

I just think it's sick how the paparazzi are hounding the Wilsons. COME ON. They aren't out to dinner. They are dealing with a real-life crisis for Owen and the whole family. It's sick. Just how I think it's sick when the paparazzi takes pics of celebs at funerals. Give me a break! Isn't there any sort of privacy or respect any more? Sick, sick, sick.

OMG, speaking of Larry King Live, I just heard it announced that Larry King is going to do something about Owen tonight! Didn't hear the entire announcement, just heard Owen Wilson's name mentioned and "...on Larry King tonight."
I posted this just in case anyone would like to know about this.

I totally agree Natalie. Tex - #hug# I'm so glad to know people that "get" this Wilson thing, too. Thanks for the Larry King headsup! I hope he does something classy.

Yes, thanks. A scrolling banner on CNN a few minutes ago said that Owen is in good condition, and then it said not to "believe the tabloids" but to watch E on Headline Prime. I don't get that channel so, if someone here does, maybe they would like to watch.

It seems that everyone is shocked and in disbelief over the whole thing. Even the comments on the blogs have all been positive and supportive for Owen. Glad to see that.

They showed video of Samuel L. Jackson and he either said, "I'm going to visit Owen Wilson, get the f*$k out of here!" Or "I'm going to visit Owen Wilson, leave me the f*$k alone!" Go Samuel!

Thanks for the two reports, Nat. (Now I like Samuel Jackson even better!)
It's nice to know about the blogs too. The wretched comments people post on links continue - even now. I mean, the CRUELTY! Geez, even if I didn't like somebody, I sure wouldn't post ugly remarks rejoicing in their misfortune!!
They should keep the Law Of Karma in mind.

I've mostly seen positive and supportive comments.....but there will always be the idiots. And you're absolutely right about KARMA!

Yes, the blogger somebody here referred us to (maybe it was Sugar Magnolia?) wrote a lovely message to and about Owen. She also had positive things to say about Darjeeling Limited.

Scanned from The London Paper today. They say this pic was taken on the day before. Click to enlarge. Beautiful as always. Like you all, I am very glad his friends are coming over to support him. Because we fans can't do anything right now. But it's the right thing, isn't it? Giving him space. I can't wait for him to get better and we can show him our support. But I think our thoughts and love are reaching him already. Humans can feel such stuff, I don't know why but we all can.
