Wow, I've just gotten caught up on this thread.
Congratulations, WF! You go girl!
I estimate I've gained back 20 lb and need to take it off - you know, before it becomes 25, 30....
I might as well give either of these diets a try - lemonade & Pancake's 6-day diet. (Is that anything like the Six Day War? j/k).

Waaaaaahhhhhhh!!! WWWaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!! Damn it!!! I've been doing Pancake's diet all week and haven't lost a pound!!! I've been SOOOO good! Aaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!! I just wish I had found out about this almost a year ago, while I wasn't working. It's so hard to eat all the stuff I should when I work from 6:30 am til 3 pm. Bugger!!!!!! Anyway, I'm going to try to do better - I'm not giving up!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just needed to vent! But, on the flip side, I'm still doing my pilates, and I am definitely in better shape!!!!!!!!! I just need to hang on.......................

WF, i know you'll be able to get back on track soon! i have a suggestion that might help you. however, i really don't know what you do for a living, but i'm gonna assume you work in an office or something where you have a lunch break, or a few other breaks during the day, from 8-6...
what i would do if i were in your positon is that i would eat whatever is listed for breakfast, then for the mid-morning snack, i'd bring that in a ziploc/tupperware (sp?), i'd have the lunch during lunch time, the mid-afternoon snack during the ride home or right before the ride home, and the dinner @ home
again, i don't know what you do for a living, or how long you work, or if you even have any other breaks besides lunch, so please don't be offended
oh, and remember that we're rooting for you and that you can do it!!

For those of you trying to lose weight, and get discouraged because it's taking so long, I just wanted to share my before and after pictures of my weight loss which took me over a year, mind you. I attribute my weight loss to exercising 3-4 days a week, and not eating after 6:00 pm....and of course cutting down on the junk food, but not cutting it out completely, and eating smaller portions. It was really simple once I got into a routine and it really wasn't that hard to stick with it because I really wasn't depriving myself. Unfortunately, I am starting to go back up that proverbial scale . Time to get back on track again. Remember, you can do anything you set your mind to, it might not happen overnight, but it will happen if you don't give up (this can be applied to anything in your life, really). ;D EDIT: I went from a size 14 to a size 10 and lost about 50 lbs. - sorry, the pics are scanned and turned out a little grainy.

a word of advice to all of those avoiding anything fried: if u have not eaten anything deep fried or pan fried for over 2 weeks, DO NOT EAT A WHOLE SERVING IN ONE SITTING! it will make you sick...trust me! lol i went out with my friend today and i got deep fried clam strips, and i haven't eaten anything too carb-y let alone deep fried since march...and it is not good! i think my body's learned what's good and not good for me lol anyway, i'm happy to announce that i have reached one of my new years goals, which was to lose 30 lbs by graduation! i actually lost 35! ;D i'm so proud of myself that i think i deserved to pig out on the deep fried clam strips lol even if they did make me feel sick so, i'm just bumping this thread to encourage WF and anyone else who's trying to lose weight---i believe in you and i know you can achieve anything if you set your mind to it!! (i love cliches! )

Jennifer, I haven't tried water aerobics, but it seems to me it would be a very effective all-over body workout. You'll get toned, and your heart rate will be raised.
Plus it's very good for anyone who has orthopedic injuries or orthopedic problems such as arthritis.
