I tuned in to see "Life On Mars" tonight on ABC and loved it. #wow# I've never heard of the lead actor before but he's pretty good. Harvey Keitel and Michael Imperioli are wonderful----and Michael's mustache and hair! Love it! The 70's music and clothing make the show all the more fun to watch. This is my new favorite show. Beth

I'm enjoying Pushing Daisies btw, it started a few weeks ago here. Very surreal, someone described it as like a colour film noir or something... its good though! nice to see Anna Friel do well on such a big show Finally Pushing Daisies is on TV here and I really like it.They've shown the first two episodes-what a great look!Reminds me a little bit of a Tim Burton movie ;DAlso, the couple is really sweet, especially Anna Friel. Beside that I enjoy "Dexter"...a little weird, but Michael C.Hall is so cool! And also I discovered "Six feet under"-I never saw it when it was on TV,but now I watch it on DVD and I was infected from the first episode on...

I watch Dexter too, I just finished watching the end of season two about a month or so ago on cable... it is quite disturbing at times but it is also kind of intriguing to learn about his history and everything... im not normally into such gory shows but I have ended up watching that...

Been watching Ghost Hunters all evening. They seem to be re-investigating previously-covered locations in Nevada: the Goldfield Hotel in Goldfield and the Old Washoe Club in Virginia City. Creepy stuff!

Anyone watch "The Last Templar" movie-for-TV that was on Sunday night and last night? I like that kind of stuff - adventures in searching for ancient documents and artifacts. But TLT was pretty bad. If you missed it, you didn't miss much.

I haven't seen Glee yet. #dontknow#
What about Glee makes you feel old, Lonegazer?
Anyone else here still watching Lost? Last 10 episodes now being broadcast; #1 of the last 10 on tonight.
I got into watching Who Do You Think You Are? Last Friday, the featured subject was Sarah Jessica Parker. She discovered that one of her ancestors took part in the California Gold Rush of the 1840's and that one of her ancestors was accused of witchcraft in Salem, Massachusetts during the witch craze of 1692. (Fortunately, she was acquitted just in time!) SJP was very touched to learn that so much of her family history coincided with so much of American history.
My ancestors were living out on Cape Cod in 1692; otherwise, one of them might have been accused too.
Would be so cool if the program would feature the Wilsons!!

I haven't seen "Glee" either.
Tex, what channel is "Who Do You Think You Are?" on? I haven't heard of that one, but it sounds interesting!

Remi, "Who Do You Think You Are" is on NBC Friday evenings 7 - 8 PM CST. Next week's subject is listed in the TV Guide as being Emmitt Smith. I don't even know who Emmitt Smith is. A pro athlete maybe??
I wonder if they got the idea for this program from Dr. Henry Louis Gates (of Harvard U) whose special was on PBS a few weeks ago. It was called "Faces Of America" and was pretty much the same theme: investigating someone's family background and presenting the findings to them. I think "Faces" lasted 2 hours and featured 4 subjects: Stephen Colbert, Kristi Yamaguchi, Queen Noor al-Hussein, and one other woman whose name/face wasn't familiar to me. I'm not sure if "Faces" was a one-time only event or if it will be on again intermittently but the NBC program picked up right after it.
"Faces" has a website and probably the NBC program does as well.
"Who Do You" went on to explain that SJP's 10'th great-grandmother was very very lucky. She was accused of witchcraft along with two other women who were supposed to have been responsible for a woman's death, a capital offense. However, the last execution had taken place on Oct 26th, and the charges against the 3 women were filed on Nov 8. After the last execution and before the next trial was to begin, the officials decided that they had been condemning people based on "the devil's testimony." Therefore, all subsequent charges were dropped. Whew! SJP's ancestor went on to live to the age of 82!

I just checked, and both these programs have websites from which you can download episodes you've missed.

Thanks for the info, Tex! Emmitt Smith was a pro football player and seems very nice. I'm gonna try to remember to watch it this Friday!

Who Do You Think You Are featured Lisa Kudrow Friday. Episode available through their website.
Edited to add: CBS Sunday Morning profiled & interviewed Ben Stiller this morning. Episode probably also available through their website.
P.S.: Ben looks really hot in his longer hair, silvery goatee, and tortoiseshell-framed glasses.
(What is it about tortoiseshell frames? Jeff Goldblum wore them in Independence Day and likewise looked really hot.)
