These are movies that I hope to see this Fall/Winter (so I should be able to write reviews for them eventually):
In no particular order:
The Life Aquatic The Wendell Baker Story (if it EVER finishes post-production) Meet The Fockers Around The Bend The Incredibles Shark Tale After The Sunset Christmas With The Cranks The Polar Express National Treasure Wimbledon Ocean's 12
There are others, but I'm not sure when they're being released (Batman Begins and Constantine are two that come to mind at the moment).

Oh yes - I heard that about the "Cars" preview too. I can't wait!
Many, many, many people will very likely disagree, but I just am not a Colin Farrell fan. I don't think he's anything great (as far as looks go; and I haven't seen him in any movie, that I can think of). So, his starring role in a movie is not an intriguing thing to me. Plus, I can't stand the idea of Val Kilmer playing his father in the movie. It just seems weird.
"Sahara"?? I haven't heard of that one (that I can recall - although, it sounds very vaguely familiar). Have I been living under a rock or something?

He's able to put anything off. I could take Colin or leave him ( a love/hate thing like with Tom Cruise ). But, there's been alot of hype about Oscars for this movie...

Saw a great little sleeper of a movie a few weeks ago: GARDEN STATE starring Zach Braff from SCRUBS. GREAT! It began as a sort of off-beat comedy, then got serious and remained that way. Considering the nature of SCRUBS, that kind of surprised me. But Zach pulled off the drama brilliantly.
I have to admit Colin Farrell does nothing for me either. I liked him in Phone Booth, but I think almost anyone could have played his part in that movie. Just my opinion, of course.
I am really excited about SAHARA because I loved the book. Tequi, Sahara is a great book by Clive Cussler, same author of Raise The Titanic (book MUCH better than the movie). I sure hope they do a much better job with SAHARA. Matthew McConnaughey playing the Dirk Pitt (the lead) role is a big help and raises my expectations all the more.

Gosh darnit! How in the world could I not be on top of things with McC's movies?!!!!!! Ugh (at myself)! Much thanks for shining the light in my eyes! That movie looks good! Matthew looks good! I'm not a fan at all of Penelope - but I'll overlook that, no problem! Why does Matthew have to star in movies with actresses I don't particularly care for? First J-Lo, now Penelope. (Sigh) Oh well - I'll manage.

Remi, if you're normally a reader, you'll have lots of time to finish Sahara before the movie opening. The book is one you can't put down once started.
I've read several Cussler books, and I think Sahara is my favorite. It's the first book of his I read and, for that reason, I might be biased.
Tequi, I think placing a fave star opposite a most un-fave star is one of the Universe's way of torturing us. It's like placing two shows we want to see opposite each other, and then there's nothing on TV we want to see for days. Or meeting the man of your dreams... and his beautiful wife... as in Alanis Morrisette's song.

Oh yes, and ALEXANDER!!! Another sword & sandal epic. And guys in mini-skirts. YAY!!! I'd love to see the Wilsons dressed up like that. Highly unlikely but still something I'd like to see.

I'm a huge Colin Farrell fan, so I can't wait for Alexander. Even though he's blonde in the movie, and I'm not a fan of blonde Colin.

Colin Farrell seems to bring out strong reactions in people. Well, lots of women here don't like his dirty mouth. I've seen him on the street and he was not attractive, but I put that down to the fact his head was shaved.
I do think he's a good actor. Tigerland is good film, also Phone Booth, he has star quality. Actually his dad is quite attractive- he runs a health food store in Dublin!

OH VIS, I forgot you are in Ireland!
I can't say I'm a big fan of his dirty mouth or his 'tude (attitude). But I agree, he IS a good actor. He needs to play more bad guys though. He's so easy to hate! He needs a spanken, and his Momma should wash out his mouth with soap! ;D

Yeah, I've seen paparazzi pics of Colin, and sometimes he looks like he's homeless! But yes, he really is a good actor. And I agree, he should play more bad guys!
