Remi has to go untie Andrew, she can't talk about the Q&A. I would love to say a million things, but I'm so holding back here.

Sorry.... I had written this up and then had problems getting the board to come up... kept timing out. ANYWAYS..... For those of you keeping track, here's what Luke was wearing.... A charcoal colored long sleeved shirt, over that (damned) navy striped polo, blue jeans, white socks, and grey running shoes. He was clean-shaven, his hair was long-ish, and he looked fresh, like he just took a shower. Absolutely gorgeous! The Q&A.... they set up three chairs on the stage. They then introduced the producer of the movie (so it was Mark Johnson, the producer, Richard Herskowitz, Director of The Virginia Film Festival and Luke), and announced that Andrew wasn't going to make it there because he didn't feel well after the turbulence on the plane. This is when Luke said "Lynyrd Skynyrd had a smoother flight than we did." They talked between themselves for a few minutes and then took questions from the audience. There was a minute or so before anyone raised their hand, and I just about died. But, after the first question, more and more people began raising their hands. One of the first questions was if Luke had planned to release a soundtrack of the movie. He said he just felt fortunate to have been able to have the songs in the movie, and sort of felt like he'd be pushing his luck asking to make the soundtrack as well... but he had hoped that he could do it eventually. Another person said the movie seemed to convey messages about having good morals, especially to the young audience. And then he asked if it was weird for Luke seeing those messages portrayed on film, because they were from his own mind, as opposed to just acting out what someone else has written. Luke said he thought about that a lot while he was making the film. He hoped that people would know that some of the characters don't represent who he is, or what he believes. But there were parts that were exactly how he feels about some things. He wasn't specific. Someone else asked why he chose not to have any opening credits. Luke said he just wanted to have the audience jump right into the movie, and reserve the element of surprise as to who may show up in it. (I loved this kid) A student in front of us told Luke that he had seen Bottle Rocket when it came out (so he must have been like 8 or 10 when he saw it!!), said he told everyone back then about it and no one knew who they were. He asked Luke if it's strange to look back and see how much his life has changed since then. Luke laughed and said "yeah, it's kinda changed quite a bit." The kid then said, "this is sorta like Inside the Actor's Studio". And Luke laughed again and said, "'Can I tell you my favorite swear word?" and under his breath, "yeah..... I don't think I'll ever be asked to be on that show." Then he talked about the ISA skit on the Old School DVD and did an imitation of James Lipton asking him... "So...Luke.... My...Dog....Skipl." It was fantastic!!! Most of the other questions you all have read his answers to, so I won't add them here. Then they announced that Luke had to leave. He had to be back on the plane and back to LA for a 6am shoot. And Luke smiled and added "But not till after I go to the party." or something to that effect. And then he left the building. Luke was very personable, relaxed, fun, and laid-back. He wasn't nervous during the Q&A. He laughed a few times, got in a dig on a producer, and was very, VERY sweet and enjoyable. Owen may have stood me up, but little brother was a Prince Charming. I may not have met him, or his brothers, but I think I will be ALOT less nervous meeting them if I ever get the chance again. (it probably won't be soon though. I think I've used up my kitchen pass for the next year. ) And after asking sensitive question to the ticketlady and trying to take Luke's seat.... I'm very glad and relieved those security guys didn't drag me off! *If you have questions, please let me know! I may have forgotten something....

He was seated about four rows behind me on the isle of the middle section. Within 10 or 12 feet (as the crow flies ;D) I'd say. I had a great view of him there, if it wasn't so dark. Unfortunately, I didn't smell anything as he walked by. No buckwheat, no hops. Just dank theater smell. But he seemed freshly showered, so I bet he smelled heavenly. I thought about this later.... when he walked by, the theater was dark and deathly quiet.... my perfect opportunity to utter a quiet "ca-caw" as he passed by.... I think he would have liked that. But I didn't want to push my luck and get arrested -- they probably had surveillance on me by this time. So, it's probably good that I didn't think of it at the time. ******************** I would also like to add that I hope my fellow board member will post her story and hopefully good photos on here too! She was delightful and very sweet! If you know who she is, please don't post it... please let her do that. Thank you!

Remi thanks for sharing...Were you tempted to ask a question...if so what would it have been? I think I would have stuttered the soundtrack question also. There's a scene in the movie where he gets shot at (the shots sound very real too) and he's running away and scrambling over barrels.... I kept wanting to ask him if he's ever been shot at before. I also wanted to ask him about his dog and how he got him to "act". I know, it's lame, but that's all I could think of at the time.

Ooh a cheeky question to have asked would be: How much money did you save the budget, by employing members of your own family...I take it Owen was'nt getting paid his usual daily rate, if anything? ;D Edited to add: Did anyone ask about film distribution? Edited to add yet again: My goodness 2 serious responses from me in a row, I must be coming down with something

Oh, thanks so much for sharing that Remi. Wow, at least Luke seemed like he was much calmer this time around. I guess after Austin and Vail, he finally stopped being so nervous. And that damn shirt again! Too funny! Edited: Nana, that's hilarious!

I didn't hear anything about a distributor or "coming soon to a theater near you".. maybe someone else did...? His new phone number was printed on the movie ticket stub. (j/k)
