I haven't heard of anyone who has seen that movie. The last I heard it had never actually been released anywhere. One of those movies that get made but are never seen! Perhaps it has finally been released on DVD though.

According to Amazon, The Third Wheel will be released on DVD on April 20, 2004. I'm debating whether or not I want to pre-order a copy or just wait until it comes out.
I apologize if this has been posted somewhere else.

I'll probably rent it first. I mean, barring the fact that Luke is in it and will be fantastic as always, it's been on hold for about 3 or 4 years, it can't exactly be a masterpiece Then again I may be pleasantly surprised ;D

Did anyone catch the Conan O'Brien interview with Luke last year -- Jeff Garlin was on the show as well? Jeff and Luke were joking about some movie they did together that was "so bad" it will never be released. I was wondering if they were referring to the Third Wheel. imdb.com doesn't list Jeff Garlin in any of Luke's movies (that I've been able to determine). They both seemed to think it was quite funny - the status of this film and how bad it was.
I watch Dinner for Five, Jon Favreau's IFC show where he has four actors or directors for dinner which is filmed. The show is just excerpts of their conversations which are informative to say the least. You feel like you are getting a bit of insight into the 'industry'. After watching so many of these shows, it is interesting the common topics of conversation that come up. One is that you never have any idea if a film you are in is any good - before it is finished. You are just rolling the dice.
It must be frustrating to have to put your career in the hands of directors and editors. Knowing that - it makes sense why the Wilsons always work with the same people. At least they can trust them.

Thanks for the info Veronica! I haven't heard of it either. The storyline sounds interesting. How bad must this have been though? When you think of what does get released and think that it had such bankable names as Ben Affleck, Matt Damon and of course Luke! I'll definitely rent it - if it comes to NZ that is, not only for Luke (which is a given ) but also because I'm so curious now to see just why it was never released to theaters.

Hmm..... well, the story was kind of odd, but it was cute all in all. Luke, of course, looked so cute! I have the DVD, but it has the Italian subtitles on it. (Idiots! I hate it when they do that! Because I can't take them off!) I will try and do some screen captures of them when I have a couple of hours Because once you start doing screen captures, you can't stop! Then I have to find a picture hosting site. I hope I can get to it today, but I'm not sure...

You need a monkey, like on friends, to help you remove the subtitles Screencaps would be great if you end up doing some!

I just got notification from Amazon that my copy of "The Third Wheel" on DVD has just shipped. Yeah! I'm probably a fool for buying a movie I've never seen before, but oh well! It does have Luke in it, and since we are going through a Luke drought, I'll do anything just to see him! Besides, with my luck, our video store wouldn't carry it! I'll let you know how I like it once it arrives.

Also A Virgo, my pre-ordered Amazon copy of Third Wheel is also en route! Yes, you're right this movie was never released to cinemas. It went straight to dvd/video. I don't know why. I think The Third Wheel was made around the same time Denise Richards married Charlie Sheen. Luke was a guest at their wedding. It makes sense that making a movie with Luke, she would become friends with him and invite him to her wedding. How nice!

My copy of "The Third Wheel" arrived this week and I'm looking forward to watching it this weekend. It's been a busy week, so it will feel good to sit down, relax and watch Luke!
