Well, I watched "The Third Wheel" last night. I can't say it was one of my favorite Luke movies and can see why it went directly to DVD after so many years. It was kind of goofy, but Luke looked very cute in it. Therefore, I could justify my purchase. There are a few scenes I can see going back to when I need a good Luke fix.
Did anyone else watch it this weekend??

I bought a copy on eBay and I am anxiously awaiting its arrival! *Edited* My eBay copy of The Third Wheel arrived in the mail yesterday (good place to get it cheap, I only paid $9.95 brand new!) It is not a really good movie, but it's not really bad either. It was definitely worth watching for the Luke fix! Something I thought was neat - he drives a green Ford Taurus station wagon in the movie, which is what I drive right now! I said "Hey! He's driving my car!" ;D

I FINALLY saw my copy of Third Wheel tonight. I've had it for almost 3 weeks. The reason I waited so long to see it will make you all laugh. Reason: I'm too electronically challenged to hook up my own dvd/video player. Therefore, I brought it with me to the blood center to watch while I donated blood platelets tonight. I left the movie with the blood center as another donation to them - to their movie library. Part of my outreach strategy. Sure did pass the time nicely to watch LUKE WILSON. I imagined Luke looking at me the way he was looking at Denise Richards. It was a good thing I was already laying down! Wasn't his hair gorgeous?? Made me laugh when he said at the end that he was "going bald." If that's true, Luke, it won't happen for many a year. And you'll still be hotter 'n hell anyway.

andrew and I went to blockbuster on sunday night... and needless to say I yelped and jumped about 50 feet in the air when I saw "The Third Wheel" just within reach. I am pretty sure andrew thinks I am a freak... well he should know that already... after all he is marrying me! the movie was pretty... um... bad... but Luke, nevertheless, looked amazing... I just want to run my fingers through that hair!

I've seen it! It's not that bad! Or maybe I am just easily pleased! LOL! You and I must be in the same camp Natalie... I just rented this new release and I thought Luke was charming in this little movie. Granted- it's no barn burner, but it has a fair amount of humor and lots of Luke up close and personal in many scenes. I thought the opening was a hoot and the Clark Kent glasses give him that "Wes Anderson nerdiness" that I adore... Luke driving down the road trying to ditch his "seriousness" made me laugh to the point where I could ignor Denise Richards irritating giggle. I could easily have gone on this date with Stanley and been perfectly happy trading quips about the "America" performers on the theater stage... He looks so cute with mussed up hair in that scene- Frankly--I wouldn't mind seeing that Luke bedhair over cappucino in the morning! It's worth the rental and/or purchase for some light-hearted date fluff. Affleck is the gambling bonus and the film throws a Size 14 zinger in at the end. That incongruous match-up is pure fantasy in Affleck's world but, the morale boost alone is worth the cost of the rental... HT

I enjoyed this movie as well. It seemed like a large group of friends getting together to make a movie. There were a lot of comedians and interesting character actors in the cast. I wish there had been more development of the office friends. But I loved how they conveyed that the entire office is aware of Stanley's crush on Diana and that Stanley is well thought of in the office -- all this in just a few scenes.
Luke once again did a great job! He is such a subtle actor. I really enjoy watching him act. I'm beginning to understand Rob Reiner's comment that Luke is "an unsweaty actor". It does seem effortless for him.
HT, I know! Very funny scene.
I realize this was not a great film, but I don't understand why it was shelved for so many years. It isn't that much of a stinker.
One film goof I noticed was that Luke was often wearing a wig. They must have gone back and done reshoots of scenes after Luke cut his hair. It is very noticeable in the waiting room with Phil. At different points in the conversation, Luke has very different hair.
It was good to see Luke after such a dry spell - I highly recommend giving it a chance. You won't be disappointed with Luke - maybe the film as a whole - but not with Luke.

I finally saw it!!! I thought the movie was quite funny ;D And Luke was SOOO CUTE I didn't used to like Ben Affleck much but am beginning to like him after seeing him act with Owen and with Luke. He was good both in Armageddon and The Third Wheel. It could be fun if Owen and Luke and Ben Affleck did a movie together. I can imagine them improvising a lot

You know, I just caught this movie by accident on Starz yesterday. I actually thought it was pretty cute. I've seen far worse. lol I did notice how many mannerisms Luke & Owen share. I'd rather sit & watch this movie than Blue Streak.
