Has anyone else seen this movie? Gosh, Luke is just adorable in it. I just bought it for $2 at a used video store. It's pretty darn cute. The ending makes me cry it's so cute... perhaps I am becoming too attached to Luke hehe. The ending is the best part I think. Anyone else care to share?

Bizarrely enough, I saw this movie years ago, way before I ever knew who Luke was. I remember thinking the movie was kind of slow but "that guy" was cute Luke was the most memorable thing about it, I don't remember the plot at all, but I remember him! I'll have to watch it again to refresh my memory. The same thing happened to me with Owen. The first time I saw Armageddon I vivedly remember wanting to see more scenes with his character in. There's something about these boys that just makes them leap of the screen.

I was just kind of browsing and saw him on the cover and was like "why not?" Turns out it isn't too, too terrible. If you want to see Luke holding a rose... well... you need to go buy this movie. It is ADORABLE.

I just saw this movie for the first time. After a second viewing I warmed up to it. Luke is amazing and I think really good in it. Not only is he overwhelmingly handsome, he is very charming as well. He has screen presence for sure. He's only 26 in the film and so crush worthy. I read somewhere that Luke refers to this movie as Dog sh*t. I agree it is not the best film - it comes across as awkward -- the script that is. I expected a lot more from a Kids in the Hall writer (Bruce McColluch). Mark McKinney (also from Kids in the Hall) was hilarious as the dog trainer. "Lorna, this is Peanut's time". Natasha Henstridge had the worst hair I've ever seen in a film. I kept thinking this was a film from 1987 not 1997. Such a beautiful woman to be sporting a helmet. Anyway - if you haven't seen it already, it is certainly worth renting particularly for the luke screen time.

I read somewhere that Luke refers to this movie as Dog sh*t. Well, I bought "Dog sh*t" today. I've never seen it before. Hopefully I'll like it. If it's only good for the Luke eye-candy, well, then my money was well spent.

I just finished watching this. I thought it was a cute movie. Not one of those "change my life" type of movies, but it was a cute, "just-for-entertainment" movie. Luke was good and looked great in it. Natasha....I've never really been a fan of hers and she's just too wooden, in my opinion. Not very charismatic. But there is one thing..... at 40 minutes and 32 seconds... they cut to a picture. I could swear that that is a picture of the Wilsons when they were young. Can someone else look at it? I might be seeing things, but I could swear that Owen is on the very right of the picture. There are 4 kids. And maybe Luke is the second one from the left. I'm not sure, but if someone could check that out. I'm pretty convinced that it was them. And I thought it was cute that Luke's character's name was "Andy" and they mentioned an "Owen" in the movie.

Wow, Natalie, it's been a long time since I've looked at Dog Park. I'd forgotten those details.
While I had Dog Park on rental, I watched 2 or 3 times before taking it back, ha. Now I must check it out to watch a 4th time.
An Andy and an Owen in the movie, that's cute. Just like Owen being 'Luke' in The Haunting.

P.S. And just like there being an 'Owensville' in The Minus Man.

:)Hi Natalie! Yes, that is definitely the Wilsons as kids, and there is a girl in the pic that hasn't been id'd. (id'd? how do you write that> ?? identified.........) I haven't been lucky enough to see the pic, never noticed it when I watched the movie, but others have reported it is defintely them!! How sweet is that?! Is there a commentary on the DVD? ?? Is Andrew in the pic too? ??!!!!!!!!!!! I remember very fondly all the Wilson movies I saw before I really realized who Luke and Owen were...............OH Yeah, there is sooo something bout those guys that makes you sit up and go.........Wow! They have the coolest way about them! So laidback and kind. You just feel like they could pop over into your yard and sit and have a beer with you in a lawn chair! (ok, I"m hyperventilating now............)

OK! Glad to know that I wasn't hallucinating! It's cool how they specifically cut to that picture. Yes, there is a girl in the picture. The kid on the left could be Andrew, but I wasn't too sure, because he looked tiny in size, compared to Owen. That's why I wasn't sure about that.

Wow Natalie! You and I are seeing a lot of the same films at the same time. I just bought this film two weeks ago and watched it the other night. I also have read somewhere where Luke calls it dogshit. I was so excited when I saw Bruce McCulloch's name and then so utterly disappointed with the movie. Luke and Janeane Garafallo were trying their damndest to make it float. Bruce McKinney did a great job as the dog trainer! He was hysterical in the dog graduation scene. I saw that picture too and thought of the boys but then discounted it because I saw 4 kids in it. I will go back and look again. No, Wilsonsrcool, there is no commentary-at least not on mine. Bruce McCulloch would've been interesting to hear from.....Some scenes that stood out for me were when Natasha Henstridge (helmet head) was throwing up and Luke was holding her head and rubbing her back. When Luke's (Andy's) new girlfriend pulled up her skirt and told him "get busy citizen!". Luke's face! Then the next day he told Janeane's character, "I got Nina-F*cked". Totally unexplainable was Kathleen Robertson's character-she gave up Luke for that uuuuuugggly weird dude? Huh? There's probably more that I'm forgetting but that's it for now. Beth

Gage51 -- You and I think alike. Did you see my earlier post? I referred to Natasha's helmet hair. And Luke's affectionate term "dog sh*t". She's a beautiful woman, but she looked masculine and so unattractive in this film. I had forgotten about the other scenes you mentioned. I need to see this one again!
