O-W-E-N where did you get that tummy?
I think Wes looks healthy and relaxed, too.
How great to be working in such a beautiful place with your good friends, doing what you love to do and making a ton of money.

I love the quote from Owen about how you have to live a little you can't be a tire kicker your whole life! Actually I thought he would say "rock tossing" since he did a pretty good job smashing that windshield in Bottle Rocket. I'm serious about Wes Anderson though. He must have decided to pull rank with the Wilson charm and looks. I will still miss that "sneaker and scarf around the neck nerdiness" though. Hope he hasn't changed that much! I liked him just the way he was...

Jim-on-nee! I am having a terrible time trying to focus on anything besides that picture of the new improved Wes Anderson today... I feel a little like a shark with blood in the water!! Considering I have visited the site multiple times and already printed it- I think I am in serious trouble here. This afternoon I may have to break down and haul out TRT and watch the commentary just to figure out where this guy was hiding under all that charming geekness. Brains, art savvy, and looks... makes me feel shallow for not noticing B4- Yowser!!

Thanks for that Itsanowenthing! A really great Christmas present!! Here's a couple of tidbits courtesy of the Yankee Racers Message Board (a good source of info on all things Wes) One of the members posted the following: For my internship at The New Yorker, I'm an assistant to a staff writer, who has a copy of the 4th draft, printed on red(!) paper, and written entirely in Futura Bold. I swore I wouldn't reveal anything, but I assure you that it is unlike anything he has ever done, if Wes keeps what's in the script he and Baumbach wrote. Hopefully, he won't screw it up with lingering shots of the ship uniforms, or allusions to D.H. Lawrence, or Fitzgerald. And, from what I've read about the description of the stop - motion sequence, it's gonna actually play to the strengths of Wes's visual style. It reads like Woody Allen meets Herman Melville. It will also probably be the most romantic of Anderson's films. If it turns out the way it reads, I will have a brand new respect for Anderson. Here's hoping he sticks to the script! Anyone who has read a different draft, please post your opinion. Wow! The most romantic! I mean the whole Anthony Inez thing was pretty sweet in BR and some of the Marget-Richie scenes in TRT were romantic. I wonder who the romance will be between? Owen and Cate Blanchett? Angelica and Bill? Hmmm can hardly wait!! ;D Also someone posted that it was on a TV show that Bill Murray will miss the Pebble Beach Pro-am next week because he is Italy shooting a movie that ran over schedule. So I guess we know they are still shooting and that it won't be finished before the end of next week at the earliest so Owen won't be State-side for a little while yet.
