God, Luke was hilarious on Letterman. I thought he was firing on all cylinders. I love his sense of humour. It's so droll.

I thought he was hilarious too! I loved the part when David asked him if he and Uma liked working together, and he said that "she won't be having our baby in Namibia" but that they really enjoyed working together. And when David asked him if he had ever dated a Playboy bunny, Luke said not in the conventional sense of dating, like dinner and a movie, but much more "casual." It was a really fun interview!

This was one of my favorite Luke appearances. Far less structured and yet personally informative as well. Luke and Owen(via Luke) always a formal, dressed upscale, polite, humorous, "at his best" during the Letterman interviews. I always discern that David Letterman truly appreciates Luke's droll and humorous candor. The takes on Luke's personal views regarding Playboy Mansion, Dave's inexperiences with such, and Luke's views on his current film always make everyone smile. Did anyone NOT laugh when he offered that Uma was not expecting his child in Namibia in the near future? (Talk Show Success) The whole show paused for that on a direct target hit...
He had a tremendous laugh when he volunteered his interest in landscaping.... That Wilson panoramic sharp glance stilled audience laughter only briefly as intended. Luke was in command from then on. His poignant pause and Luke's delayed view gazing over the audience was a wonderful example of exemplar "straight man" humor, reminiscent of the George Burns' school of excellence. He complimented that Uma Thurman was a wonderful actress to work with. By in large I loved one of his final comments about multiple bedroom scenes- Why bother to get undressed?
"Yes Luke- Why bother?" HurlT #clover#

Brilliant ladies, I shall have to stalk the late night channels to see if I can catch a glimpse of that interview.

Oh, I wanna see it too! Letterman here airs at 2am-ish, and it's always a bit delayed, so I don't think I'll see it. #sad#

I always love Luke's interviews with Dave! Call me crazy, but my favorite part of the interview was when Luke said he'd probably be in landscaping if he wasn't an actor. "You people don't have yards?" I loved it! Also loved the line, "She won't be having our baby in Namibia." Love this "Wilson Fest" we've been having lately! Can't tell you how many times I've seen "Wedding Crashers" in the last few weeks!
