Thanks Nov for the pics They did a little q&A thing with Luke that is on the site Five questions with Luke Wilson By Leighton Ginn The Desert Sun January 24th, 2004 Luke Wilson is the star of such movies as “Legally Blonde,” “Rushmore,” “The Royal Tenenbaums” and “Old School.” He played in the celebrity field of the Bob Hope Chrslyer Classic this week and agree to answer five questions with our reporter: Question-- How do you think the Baumer would do against Pete Sampras or Michael Chang. Answer -- Well, depending on his mental state, Baumer was kind of a sensitive guy. I like to think in his prime, the Baumer could beat Sampras. Q -- What surface do you think would suit Baumer? A -- Well, maybe he would do well on the clay in France. Q -- When you look at some fans in the gallery, are you tempted to say, "you're my boy blue?" A -- I do like that line. People do yell it at me. Q -- One of the funniest things in "Old School" was you were wrestling in K-Y Jelly. Was that the most fun you've had with K-Y Jelly? A -- Yeah, probably. I never have been in that much of it, or any of it, come to think of it. Q -- How weird was it? A -- It was weird. It actually was the stuff they use to make McDonald's milkshakes with.

Thanks for posting all of the photos and articles. I've had a very stressful week, so it was nice to see Luke! He looks great! It's been a while since we've had some "recent" Luke eye candy!
I'd like Luke to give me some golf lessons!

Thanks for the article, Polly ;D I just found another one on the same site about the celebrities. They talk to Luke and some kids have some really cute things to say about him Link here: www.thedesertsun.com/news/stories2004/local/20040124012535.shtmlRead here: Celebrities find area relaxing Hope Classic offers chance to do what they enjoy
By Leonor Vivanco The Desert Sun January 24th, 2004
Serenity and solitude come to mind when thinking about the Palm Springs area.
It is a premier vacation destination that offers a low-key atmosphere so people can unwind.
And that’s just what people -- ordinary and famous -- do here besides play golf.
The favorite activity for some of the celebrities playing in the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic is relaxing.
"It’s all about the pampering," said comedian George Lopez.
"You can go to the clubs, but it’s better when you get a nice massage," he said.
Oakland A’s pitcher Mark Mulder has fun just hanging out with his friend who’s also his caddy in the tournament.
"We go to dinner and different places," said Mulder.
Those places include the Beer Hunter Sports Pub & Grill, LG’s Prime Steakhouse and Tommy Bahama’s Tropical Cafe & Emporium in Palm Desert.
He said he hasn’t been to many places here but enjoys himself when he visits.
"Most of the time when I’m here, I’m either hanging out at his house or I’m sleeping in my hotel room," Mulder said.
"I haven’t been here many times on a weekend to really experience any nightlife," said Mulder.
But singer Alice Cooper has visited the desert many times and has his favorite places all picked out.
He goes to Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse in Rancho Mirage. He enjoys eating at No Da Te on El Paseo in Palm Desert.
"That’s probably the best sushi place around," Cooper said.
He spends his free time going to movies and the outlet stores in Cabazon while he’s in town.
"I’m a shopaholic," said Cooper.
He also makes it a point to stop at Madison Jewelers in Palm Springs to check out their selection since Cooper collects antique watches.
As for nightlife, the wild rocker has toned down.
"I don’t go partying or anything. I’m not a party addict. I’d much rather go see a movie," Cooper said.
When Carson Daly comes back to his old stamping grounds, he usually spends time with his parents at their home.
"I don’t get here that often so there’s no point in going hog-wild," Daly said.
Actor Luke Wilson is staying at a friend’s house.
"I just kind of sit around and relax," Wilson said.
"I don’t hardly ever come down here so it’s always nice to get out of Los Angeles," said Wilson.
For years, the area has been an attractive location for celebrities to escape from the mayhem and stress of their busy lives.
Valley residents are known for respecting the celebrities’ privacy.
When asked if fans bother him when he’s out, Daly said, "In New York, yeah, but not so much here."
Mulder has fans approaching him in the San Francisco Bay area, Chicago and Scottsdale, where he has roots.
He finds it nice to get away from that a little, to a place where fans don’t come up to him as much here.
"Lots of times in the Bay Area I can’t go anywhere. So to come out to a place like this and just relax and do nothing, it’s very nice and relaxing," Mulder said.
Fans use the tournament as an opportunity to get close to the stars and ask them for their autographs and the celebrities don’t seem to mind.
Even though tournament officials ask that fans hold requests for autographs until the players complete their rounds, some players signed programs, photos, and hats while walking the course and even while practicing.
Casey McIntosh, 13, was eyeing Wilson as he practiced putting.
"He’s pretty cute," said McIntosh, who proudly showed off the autographs of Daly and Cooper on her sweatshirt.
Like McIntosh, Ruben Guzman, 14, missed school one day to see the celebrities.
As Wilson was walking from one hole to another, Guzman asked him for his autograph and Wilson obliged.
"He’s a great actor. I watch all his movies," said Guzman with a smile.

Legally Lukes- Thanks for posting the golf pictures at #39. Too easy to imagine wrapping arms around that man while he is occupied with his back swing- that is one HOT shot... It's also reassuring to note that the chest wax was not permanent. Since I didn't get to caddy-I am officially offering my personal services to help free Luke from any water hazard, sand trap or article of clothing he needs to get out of... ;D

Whoa!! Did anyone catch Polly's post #36 and the fact that Luke's KY scene was filmed using the gunk they use for McDonald's milkshakes??... Hells bells, that gives new meaning to the phrase HAPPY MEAL and I call that the best bargain in town for under five bucks!!! -HT

Wow - I've been away for two days. There's so much to catch up on. It's hilarious how interested in golf we all are now. I still don't know what a bogey or birdie is, but I feel like I have a better understanding of golf after this week. And all these new photos! Luke's hair is amazing. I hope he's growing it out. ;D I wonder whose house he was staying at in Palms Springs... Maybe Pete Sampras?

Maisy - If that gunk was all over Luke's body, you wouldn't need a barf icon...You'd be using a straw...as fast as you can!!
