A June release is pretty quick but it's probably in time for the school holidays. It'll be interesting to see how it turns out but I would prefer to see Owen's other completed films first, How do you know and Little Fockers.

Thank you lovene! I probably will skip this movie, but I won't skip pictures and videos of Owen promoting it!

An Interview from PBPulse; Owen Wilson: ‘I’m Kind of a Doomsday Person’ By Parade | Gossip | May 28, 2010 “I guess I’m sort of a pessimist, kind of a doomsday person. That dark side probably comes from my Irish background. I’m always worried about doing well in a movie and what’s going to happen to my career. But I can occasionally be an optimist,” Wilson says.
Owen Wilson scored at the box office as the owner of a mischievous but lovable pooch in Marley and Me. Now, he’s channeling his inner canine in Marmaduke, as the voice of a dog who just can’t stay out of trouble. Wilson has a connection with the legendary Great Dane who is still a hit in comic strips around the world.
“Marmaduke is like a teenager who can’t get it together,” Wilson says. “Growing up, I was the kid who was always getting into trouble. I liked not studying and goofing off. I used to roar around Dallas one step ahead of the law like I was in the Dukes of Hazzard. That all came to an end when my parents sent me to military school. I’m driving a Prius now, so it’s hard to go really fast. I’m a little more mellow as a driver than I used to be.”
Understanding how Marmaduke could create some family havoc. “My older brother, Andrew, maintains that my brother Luke and I wrecked his first marriage because we were always staying at his house and invading his privacy. We had a ladder rigged up so we could make quick exits from the second-story bedroom window. Once, Andrew locked me out, and I snuck in to get some of my clothes and fell through the ceiling.” His own best friend. “I have a dog named Garcia who’s elevator-challenged. When he hears an elevator coming he goes berserk because he knows the door is going to open and there might be somebody there who’ll give him a pat. He doesn’t talk like Marmaduke, but I think he sometimes knows exactly what I’m thinking. We’re really simpatico. I’m sure everybody feels this way about their pet, like you’re on the same page.”
Now, he’s into birds. “I’m actually playing a champion bird watcher [in The Big Year], and Steve Martin and Jack Black are out to take my crown. We were joking yesterday because we were filming a scene where we run down this path in search of a rare species. We were like, ‘This is our big action sequence.’ But I don’t think we’ll be giving the next Iron Man any competition.”
I love the bit about Garcia. #crazylove#

Here is another Maramduke video interview that I do not think has been posted here. Some of them look alike because they are talking with various media outlets at the same location as they do during these press junkets. If you can gut it out through the trailer then you are rewarded by the interview. Ha! www.starwatchonline.com/video/2010/jun/03/marmaduke--47462/#comment

I love these beach interviews with Owen. I don't like to say he seems stoned in some of them but certainly he's very relaxed. I just wish he wouldn't sit like that it's very distracting. #devil#

i realise how some ppl on here get upset with critical comments, but owen always looks a little to relaxed, but he may have one of those faces. But i do love the way he sits...Most actors do have a shelf life, that may be the reason he takes some roles,i hated the look of marley and me{i`m not a pet or kids person},but i liked the movie,i found it quite touching.Anyway i`m more of a luke fan but glad owen is doing lots this year, his imd upcoming projects is heavy compared to lukes.I`m looking foward to meet the parents 3,hope his part is a little bigger this time, his part in the 1st movie always make me chuckle.

Floot, I didn't post that interview. The credit goes to OCW. But I'm glad you enjoyed it. Locke, I don't find your remark critical or upsetting to me, about Owen being "too relaxed." I've noticed he's like that too. It's not just his face either, it's the way his speech is so slow. Some people are just slow-talkers, and some people are under some kind of chemical influence or they're just very very tired. I can't say which is true of Owen because I don't know. ;D And yes, I appreciate his sitting position too! I've heard Owen/Kevin will have an expanded part in MTP3 so that's great news, and I hope it's true! I think I read he is to be the god-father of Ben's kid in the movie.

I'm glad Owen is busy with lots of new films coming up this year and next year as well. I think the Woody Allen/Midnight in Paris/Muse project looks absolutely amazing. Marmaduke is absolutely lovely; and I've been seeing some reviews online where they mention that Owen's tone of voice is actually great for a teenage dog. It's adorable. Just thought I would add some old info for the discussion of Owen's relaxed manner of speaking. People who are newer fans might not know Owen had to have a lot of speech therapy as a child. He mentioned it in a couple of interviews. I have to say that it's pretty amazing to go into a career involving public speaking and being in films and doing voice work after going through all of that. He must have an incredibly strong character to have become what he's become, I admire his confidence. The first time I saw this Men's Vogue piece was years ago, so I think the MSNBC link is probably the active one: www.mensvogue.com/magazine/articles/2007/09/owen_and_westoday.msnbc.msn.com/id/20894720/ Men's Vogue "The story of O" September 2007 "...Later, when I asked Wilson why he talked that way, he told me he had needed a lot of speech therapy as a child, because no one could understand him. That intonation and inflection were what he had come up with." Scotland on Sunday "New Kings Of Comedy" March 14, 2004 "My timetable was always crammed with speech lessons but sometimes my mom would say, ‘What’s on the agenda today, Owen?’ and I’d be like, ‘Nothing, this is my fwee day."
