I saw Little Fockers yesterday, and I think this is the best of the three. Just my opinion. Owen's part is larger and more integral in this one, just one reason why this one is so good. He has some great lines, and I bet a lot of them are probably his own creation. He was wonderful in the end in his blue unitard. Man, he is smokin' hot!!!
Sorry to be a Debbie Downer but I have to add this: This movie is not for little kids. People seem to think that just because there are little kids in a movie that the movie is for little kids. This one is not. There are only a couple of parts lasting a few seconds that they will enjoy; otherwise, they will be bored silly, and they'll be so disruptive as to ruin the enjoyment of others in the cinama. In addition, the content is not appropriate for little kids.

Yes, it is totally amazing that Little Fockers came in #1 over the holiday weekend. I bet Stiller, Wilson et al. are beyond thrilled. I expected True Grit to come out on top (saw it and it was awesome!) so I was pleasantly surprised. Comedy rules! Like Lonegazer I plan to see it in the next couple of days.
Thanks Sabina for the heads up and the recommendation. It made me move LF up on my list!

I too was delighted to see Little Fockers was #1 over the weekend. It kind of surprised me although I'm not sure why. I guess I didn't realize how popular the Focker franchise has been. Like some others here, I haven't been all that keen on the Focker franchise; just that Owen & Ben were in them.
Speaking of other movies (if that's appropriate to do in this thread), I've also seen The King's Speech. I can't recommend this enough! If someone wanted to see this and wanted someone to see it with them, I'd see it again! The acting and presentation are so powerful that in the end I was misty-eyed. The musical score is marvelous as well! And Colin Firth is very easy on the eyes!
I too want to see True Grit. I'll see it this week. I saw the original with John Wayne and had read the book. I understand this remake is even better than the original! Darker, grittier, and follows the book more closely. Plus, I've always liked Jeff Bridges....and Beau Bridges too.

Owen has been really smart in his associations as Ben Stiller has been pretty consistent with his box office success. Many of his movies seem to build momentum over time and have great success on DVD. If Kevin is around he can help me out here, but it seems like I read that Ben's lifetime box office $$$ is like a gazillion trillion dollars or something. When I have time I will try to find the article I was reading, but kudos to Owen for tying his star to the likes of Ben and Wes.
Sabina - I saw The King's Speech tonight and absolutely loved it. I have always been crazy about Colin Firth and Helena Bonham Carter but wow, Geoffrey Rush blew me away. I agree with you...this one is a Must See.
So on Wednesday should we see Little Fockers or How Do You Know? Time to show Owen some love, baby.

I've heard that Colin Firth's acting in A Single Man even outshines his performance in The King's Speech. I've not seen ASM yet but shall rent the dvd promptly! I can't imagine a performance better than his (and yes, Geoffrey Rush too!) than TKS. Especially having to learn to stammer and make it convincing. That scene when he was broadcasting his wartime speech to the backdrop of Beethoven's 3rd and the camera panning to the different sets of audiences, I was tearing.
Back to Owen movies(!), Little Fockers vs How Do You Know. Hmmm... tough call. I take it you're asking which one you should see first, yes? Owen's part in HDYK is somewhat more of the lead than his part in LF, plus he shows some skin in HDYK. Maybe you could base it on that? Or maybe you could just flip a coin.

Owen shows some skin in HDYK? Bingo! That is all I need to know. I am sooooo there. Besides, his arms look really good in all the promo stills and trailers that I have seen for that movie and that will be enough to keep me entertained. I will definitely be catching Little Fockers, too, though. It looks funny to me, the girl with the sense of humor of a 12 year old boy.
And speaking of skin, there are some pretty nakedy shots of Colin Firth in A Single Man, so rent it pronto. I loved that movie, too.

I saw Little Fockers today and I enjoyed it but Meet the Fockers is my favourite with Meet the Parents second. Owen was great and funny in his scenes. I didn't laugh as much as the first two films but I like watching Owen, Ben, Robert de Niro et al.
Like Sabina I would say for a 12A rating (in the UK) there are a few scenes/words not particularly suitable for under 10s as they might need some explaining. Shame because they didn't add anything to the film. A trailer was shown for Hall Pass but I don't know when that's coming out over here but I think there's a premiere for How do you know in January and I might try and get to that after work.
