I know I said 1 more...but then this just came on my Ipod
"Hero" Enrique Iglesias
Would you dance if I asked you to dance? Would you run and never look back? Would you cry if you saw me crying? And would you save my soul, tonight?
Would you tremble if I touched your lips? Would you laugh? Oh please tell me this. Now would you die for the one you loved? Hold me in your arms, tonight.
I can be your hero, baby. I can kiss away the pain. I will stand by you forever. You can take my breath away.
Would you swear that you'll always be mine? Or would you lie? would you run and hide? Am I in too deep? Have I lost my mind? I don't care... You're here tonight.
I can be your hero, baby. I can kiss away the pain. I will stand by you forever. You can take my breath away.
Oh, I just want to hold you. I just want to hold you. Am I in too deep? Have I lost my mind? I don't care... You're here tonight.
I can be your hero, baby. I can kiss away the pain. I will stand by your forever. You can take my breath away.
I can be your hero. I can kiss away the pain. And I will stand by you forever. You can take my breath away. You can take my breath away.
I can be your hero.

Thats great SLD!!! Me and Tex, (as you can see, virtually the only ones who run this thread) are BeeGees fans too! I'll hear the songs ASAP. Me loves 'Its Only Words' by the BeeGees too. Its so true...'its only words, and words are all I have, to take your heart away...'

OMG SLD! That song Hero is in Drillbit Taylor! I love that song! I thought of one today. I don't know if it's been mentioned. I don't know who sings it, but it's that song " He's So Fine" I think it's either the 50's or 60's. I can't remember. I just thought of two more. "Everything" from Lifehouse and just to get a little crazy, "Wild Thing" Owen is wild after all.

Good choices, Negirl. "He's So Fine" was recorded by the Chiffons: www.youtube.com/watch?v=1IkfRQeHXrI(Btw, George Harrison got into trouble over this song as his song "My Sweet Lord" is basically the same tune as "He's So Fine." Same thing happened with Bee Gees' "How Deep Is Your Love" vs an earlier song.) "Everything" - Lifehouse: www.youtube.com/watch?v=f1tVk-QlBKs"Wild Thing" - The Troggs: www.youtube.com/watch?v=4qHX493bB3USP, glad you liked the Young Rascals' "It's A Beautiful Morning." The Rascals had a string of hits in the 60's, and I always liked Felix Cavaliere's (lead singer) voice.

Since we're mentioning dirty songs, can I push any sort of decency off the hook and name this one? [shadow=red,left,300]Supersexual[/shadow](dont say I didnt warn ya...) There's something in the way you move Everybody wants you, To me you are, a shining star. Baby what do I do, To make you see, you're the one for me Baby won't you realise
Girl we could be doin' it, doin' it, doin' it, doin' it, All night long, Makin' it, makin' it, makin' sweet love.
It's the way you move your body Supersexually, you are the one for me, So baby move your body A little closer to me, so everybody can see There's no doubt that you're what I want Everything that I need Cos you do me Supersexually.
Come over here, so what's your name? Everybody's watching I'll buy the drinks, I'll play the game But only if it's worth it. I guess you heard it all before. But baby I ain't telling lies.
To me girls like you don't come everyday. I like to have some fun baby, what do ya say?
Girl we could be doin' it, doin' it, doin' it, doin' it, All night long, Makin' it, makin' it, makin' sweet love.
It's the way you move your body Supersexually, you are the one for me, So baby move your body A little closer to me, so everybody can see There's no doubt that you're what I want Everything that I need Cos you do me Supersexually.
I have no shame. I know! song: (please dont mind the video - couldnt find anything else!) in.youtube.com/watch?v=1yoPxleE7A0P.S. I think Hero will be the only enrique song i'll ever like ;D

This thread has been such a good read! I cant believe i didn't know about it until today! I see we have alot we have in common. When i hear "Too Far From Texas" i always think of Luke. And "He's So Fine" by The Chiffons. Oh and I'm a Bee Gees fan too! Actually a closet disco fan as well. But what can you do, I was born in '78 ;D Lets see, one song i hear on the radio when i think of Luke is "American Boy" by Estelle. Normally i dont listen to hip-hop but the version without the rap i like. Not all the lyrics apply but i love the chorus and its so darn catchy! www.youtube.com/watch?v=n-mRsrYtdM8Here's another one...Tangled Up by Billy Currington. Make sure the AC is on when youre listening to this one! www.youtube.com/watch?v=DdIfLmgnS5YLets see for Owen, there's a song called "Look At That Face" by Anthony Newley. Its kind of a show-tune. And it has the line "look at that nose, it shows what a nose should be" ;D www.youtube.com/watch?v=7fvugL2QWyMAlso i think of Owen when I hear Snow Patrol. Especially a song called "You Could Be Happy". Its a beautiful song that makes me cry almost every time I hear it. www.youtube.com/watch?v=kzn8UjhxM-MThat's all for now. I'm sure ill come up with some more

Partridge Family! Yep, I'm going there I woke up in love this morning (change girl to guy) Last night, I turned out the light, lay down and thought about you I thought about the way that it could be Two o'clock, wonderin' what I'm doin' here alone without you So I close my eyes and dream you here to me and... [Chorus:] I woke up in love this morning I woke up in love this morning Went to sleep with you on my mind I woke up in love this morning I woke up in love this morning Went to sleep with you on my mind Hello, girl, yes it's five o'clock I know but you just listen There's something that I've got to let you know This is you, this pillow that I'm huggin' and I'm kissin' And one more thing before I let you go... [Chorus] I woke up in love this morning I woke up in love this morning Went to sleep with you on my mind I woke up in love this morning I woke up in love this morning Went to sleep with you on my mind Do dreams come true, well if they do, I'll have you Not just for a night, but for my whole life through [Repeat chorus to fade] I woke up in love this morning I woke up in love this morning Went to sleep with you on my mind I woke up in love this morning I woke up in love this morning Went to sleep with you on my mind Can you tell my husband has been out of town all week???

I love it! The Partridge family and the BeeGees! What a blast from the past. Forget Miley and the Jonas Brothers.....the 70's totally rocked.

#iagree# 70's were great!
But, alas I have a 7yr old daughter so I am equally in touch with Miley and heck, the Jonas brothers are to her, what the BeeGee's were to me!

I guess the Jonas Bros are kind of cute...but they can't compare to the Bee Gees. #dancetrio# I mean..... seriously..... close your eyes and imagine......hairy Barry Gibb singing falsetto in his tight white satin pants, silk shirt and gold chains. Now THAT was sexy. Hmmmm....I wonder if Andrew could pass for a BeeGee if we dressed him in satin and silk with lots of bling ;D

You are too funny. Andy Gibb was my first concert, followed by the Bee Gee's. I loved all those Gibbsters. Barry has a website with a chatroom. Sometimes he makes appearances in the chatroom. My heart flutters and it's only text!

Bee Gees & Andy Gibb fan here too. If you haven't had a chance to notice, there's tons of Bee Gees stuff on YouTube, music and interviews. Their performance at the MGM Grand Hotel left not a dry eye in the house when they performed a song duet with deceased Andy on-screen. There's also video of them dedicating a memorial to Maurice in an ocean-side park in Miami, their adopted home city. Oops - this is supposed to be about songs. Well, actually I have a song in mind. It's by Celine Dion but I can't think of the title, darn it! Been looking for it but - without a title - I've got my work cut out for me.

I like a few Celine Dion's 'Because You loved me' 'I drove all night' 'A new day has come' and of course, 'My heart will go on' Okay, so maybe when I did discover the BeeGees, they weren't performing any more, but still, I love 'em

Good suggestions, SP, but not the one. It will take me forever to listen to Celine's entire catalog to find the song I'm looking for. In the meantime, here's a fun upbeat one: www.youtube.com/watch?v=jr7iKcilty0Edited to add: Ok about the Bee Gees, SP. Mozart wasn't performing anymore when I discovered him but still I love him. ;D
