Somedays when the weight on your shoulders feels like it is too much to bear, or you might feel like you are standing still when everyone else is moving forward.... Sometimes all it takes is an ensemble of a few words to help you on days when things just seem not quite right in your world. So, I am starting this thread for those of you (like myself) who could use a little pick-me-up. Some quotes I like: [glow=red,2,300] ~The longest journey starts with a single step~ ~The rocky road before you now may lead you to a rainbow~ ~Live life, feed your soul~ ~If we fill our hours with regrets over the failures of yesterday, and with worries over the problems of tomorrow, we have no today in which to be thankfull~ ~Don’t flip your lid over minor annoyances~ ~Be proud of your special niche in life~[/glow]

Nice idea Bubbles!!
I like this......................
Find a penny, pick it up Then all day you'll have good luck!
but...............................
That little penny lying on the ground?? Some say that when you see a penny lying on the ground, that it was put there by an angel, watching over you. That little penny is your angel's way of saying, 'Hey there! I love you! And I'm watching over you each day.'

Those are really great bubbles! Very encouraging. And I like what you wrote above the quotes. Yours is cute WF ;D My favourite quotes are (although I repeat them and some people may be bored of them by now ): You're what you love, not what loves you. - from the movie "Adaptation" written by Charlie Kaufman Happiness is a gift and the trick is not to expect it, but to delight in it when it comes. - from "Nicholas Nickleby" written by Charles Dickens It's awfully nice to be the recipient of forgiveness...I know. - Owen Wilson, in the article in "PARADE" magazine

Underneath Bubbles' sig is one of my favorites: "Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars." I saw it on a bookmark and always loved it, then I felt bubbles needed to see that quote and I bought her the bookmark, luckily she loved the quote as much as I do. I think it's become our philosophy now, am I right, Bubbles?

Since I still have the Time Magazine issue opened to where Owen's quote appears, I'll continue with the quotes on happiness that were printed. These are my favorites that were included in the quotes:
"Happiness makes up in height for what it lacks in length." - Robert Frost
"Happiness in intelligent people is the rarest thing I know." - Ernest Hemingway
"Happiness serves hardly any other purpose than to make unhappiness possible." - Marcel Proust
"When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us." - Helen Keller
"Happiness ain't a thing in itself - it's only a contrast with something that ain't pleasant." - Mark Twain
"Happiness is good health and a bad memory." - Ingrid Bergman
"If only we'd stop trying to be happy we'd have a pretty good time." - Edith Wharton
"Unbroken happiness is a bore; it should have ups and downs." - Moliere ;D

Dream as if you'll live forever; Live as if you'll die today.
and...
Never take life seriously, nobody gets out alive anyway.

some of my favorites are:
"Pro is to Con, as Progress is to Congress" - I'd love to give created to someone for this, but I don't know who said it.*
"There is a power that comes from negetive thinking, mainly because it is impossible for an optimist to be pleasantly surprised" -*same as above
