Is anyone else watching the arrivals? I'm not anymore. Like Pancake, I'm bored with them. (actually I think they're annoying... shhh... don't tell anyone) I'm recording it just in case.

i totally agree! i can't watch this anymore!
even if owen or luke were there, i doubt they'll interview them, and pics of them on the red carpet would most likely be posted on one of those photo sites over the next few days anyway, right??

I gave up on the Oscars about an hour ago. The TV is still on in the other room, but I've quit watching. I was pretty sure Owen wasn't to be a presenter this year, and I'm positive he's not in the audience. I've been looking for him in the audience. If he was there, I'm sure the cameras would have found him by now. Please tell me I haven't missed an Owen view!!! Or that I missed him on the red carpet. (I was at work then). I agree the Oscars are SOOOO boring this year. Terrible, in fact. Last year's Oscar commentators said that Owen & Ben's presentation was the freshest thing they'd seen that night. Too bad the Academy wasn't smart enough to have them back this year!!! They just don't know a good thing when they've got it!

What did Owen and Ben do last year?
I know they did the Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings but i thought that was 2003. am i wrong?

I've sifted through most of the photo sites and can't find anything for either of them at the Oscars. Maybe those sites will post the best of the rest later...

Pancake, Owen & Ben were presenters last year too in addition to their appearance at the 2002 Oscars (I thought it was 2002, not 2003).
I don't remember what category they presented, but Ben was dressed in his Starsky clothing (in a shameless attempt to advertise S&H which was intentional & meant to be humorous). Owen was dressed in a hot tuxedo. They didn't do any kind of sketch on the movies, but they did have some witty banter between the two of them. They were sooo cute. After they left the stage, nobody could have topped their appearance.
Is it my imagination or did Owen start a trend by the style of tux he wore last year? It seems like so many men last night were dressed in tuxes of similar cut & style.

Roxy wrote this on another thread, but it is fairly "insightful" How appropriate. I saw only a portion of the red carpet, but rejoiced at seeing a smooth Pierce Brosnan with his wife Keely Shay Smith. After giving birth to two children, Keely now looks like a beautiful woman in her size (?)12 gown, with real curves and reason to smile. He looked very happy and proud have her on his arm. That's good stuff people...
