A few of my favorites are:
You can lead a fool to wisdom, but you can't make him think.
If only one could tell true love from false love as one can tell mushrooms from toadstools.
Katherine Hepburn has covered the gammit of emotions from A to B! (Tea at Five!!)
To be loved is to be fortunate, but to be hated is to acheive distinction

A hero of mine.... "Would those of you in the cheaper seats clap your hands? And the rest of you, if you'll just rattle your jewelry." John Lennon addressing the audience, including the Queen and Prince Phillip at The Royal Variety Performance. I could quote him all night, most of his quotes are very inspirational... "Give Peace A Chance" "Life is what happens when your busy making other plans"..... The jewelry joke is still funny after 40 years! I LOVE the British sense of humour. I also love this episode from the first time George Martin worked with the Beatles (George Martin is the producer of all of the Beatles albums except for Let It Be): George Martin: "OK boys, please tell me if there is anything you don't like." George Harrison: "Well firstly, I don't like your tie." Oh George! Back to John, I love those inspirational quotes too. And I love this one from Strawberry Fields Forever which is also very inspirational... "Life is easy with eyes closed..." Linney, you know many great quotes. I think the one you quoted on the other thread is great too: "Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the things you did."
