Venus with Owen.
It was not just another day for Venus but a very happy time indeed. Owen was coming over to Ireland to celebrate Christmas with her. He had gone to America for a short while to be in a movie but his thoughts were always with Venus and his heart was for her only. Venus was the most wonderful person in his life and she was his one true love.
Venus would meet Owen at the airport and greet him.
His flight came in early in the morning and she couldn’t wait to see Owen again, as she had missed him dreadfully.
As Owen appeared in the doorway from his plane, he looked rather tired but when he saw Venus he smiled and his eyes sparkled from seeing such a beautiful sight.
Venus’ heart skipped a beat and she felt warm all over. Her skin tingled and she had missed him a lot, hoping for his strong arms to surround her and keep her safe once more.
As they moved towards each other, Owen put down his suitcase and picked Venus up and gave her a big hug and a kiss.
“Venus! I have missed you so much. Next time will you come with me? I would rather not stay apart for a long while, ever again.” Commented Owen.
“I have really missed you so much Owen and I’m glad to see you also. I miss all the good times that we have had together.” Said Venus.
“Venus, you are still my goddess of love and beauty and I have never seen you so radiant before. I love you very much indeed.” Said Owen excitedly.
Even though they could be seen at the airport, they really didn’t care who watched on as they embraced and kissed each other. It was a long, tender kissed that lasted for a while. They had missed each other and once united again, they only wanted to stay together and share in each other’s company more.
He put Venus down gently and they left to go to her car. They drove back to her place.
When they arrived at Venus’ place, Owen noticed that the table was already set for Christmas dinner and the tree was up and looked very beautiful indeed. It felt as though he had never left home at all.
His heart was always in Ireland with his loved one, Venus.
After he unpacked his suitcase, he added a present under the tree. He smiled sweetly and watched Venus’ face to see her reaction.
“Owen, we are spending Christmas time alone. I really hope that you don’t mind at all.” She said shyly.
“I would really love to spend my time with you only. It will be more romantic for us. “I have a big surprise for you, as well as the present under the tree, but I won’t show you until later.” Owen smiled at Venus and gave her a wink. They both felt warm inside and their love for each other was very deep and meaningful indeed.
In the afternoon Owen went shopping for that night and for Venus, of course. He made sure that he bought champagne for that very special night. He also went into the florists and arranged for some flowers to be sent to the house that evening. He was in such a happy mood and he hoped that Venus would feel the same way as what he did. This would be a special day indeed.
He had never been this cheerful in a while and he wished to spoil his lovely lady.
Meanwhile back at home, Venus prepared the dinner for that night and added two candles to the table. She put out a dress for that night, to wear, and a pair of matching shoes.
Owen had already chosen what he was going to wear that night and had hung it up on the door, ready to get into.
By the time he came back home, Venus was putting the final touches to the table. She added glasses to the table and put a present from her, to Owen, under the tree. Venus did not notice him sneak into the house and run into the bedroom with a surprise for her.
At about 5 p.m. he took Venus out to watch a sunset. They both looked so happy and adored every moment together.
“Once again, we have come to watch a sunset and I hope to see many more with you. Your eyes look so lovely and your hair is so beautiful”. He ran his fingers through her hair, watching her hair move in the breeze. The air was fresh felt good and any problems in the world were put aside that day.
They were by themselves and only had adoration for each other.
“Owen, your smile is wonderful and your eyes always sparkle when you smile. I love to hear you joke and it really makes me happy. I love you so much.” Said Venus.
He put his arms around her and they both watched the sunset together. It was the most beautiful sunset that they had ever watched before. It was special for them.
“Close your eyes for a second and stay still.” Said Owen and he rushed off to the car and brought out a flower for her.
“Okay, now put your hands out and when I tell you to, open your eyes.” He smiled sweetly.
Owen put one rose in her hands. He said, “Okay, now you can open your eyes.” When Venus opened her eyes, she saw a blue rose in her hands and her mouth opened in surprise. “Owen! A blue rose? Where did you find it?” She said, feeling very happy indeed.
“A blue rose is the rarest rose of all and there aren’t many of them around. They are grown specially and they mean a lot to me. They’re truly rare and you are a rare beauty, a true gem.” He smiled and bent down to kiss Venus. He put his arms about her body and she held the rose and put her arms around his neck. They kissed as though they never had before. They were truly in love.
When they went back home, after watching the sunset, they both changed into their other clothes and went to have dinner. Venus had put the blue rose into some water, in a vase and placed it on the table.
Owen brought the champagne and put it on the table and lit both candles. He smiled sweetly at her.
At that moment the bell rang, and Venis answered the door. Owen had sent her 20 red roses and she gasped as she received them from the man at the door. When she closed the door she looked Owen in the eyes and he winked at her and gave her another kiss.
How much more could a girl want? Venus had received that day, a rare blue rose and now 20 red roses. She wondered why Owen was being so romantic.
She put the roses into a vase and then hugged Owen and thanked him over and over again.
After they had eaten their dinner and he had helped her tidy up and wash the dishes. He then took her to the tree and asked her to open her present. She excitedly did so and to her astonishment he had bought a beautiful white negligee.
“Why, Owen what is this for? Besides from the obvious that is. I never expected something as beautiful as this.” Said Venus, “Now it your turn to open your present.”
“You didn’t have to get me a present, your love is enough.” He said and opened his present. Now it was his turn for a surprise. Venus had bought him some cufflinks to go with his suit and some boxers for night wear, which had the sign of Scorpio on it. “You didn’t have to buy me anything as good as this. Thank you very much, I really love them and appreciate them a lot. It’s just what I need.” Said Owen.
“I have one last surprise for you but first but first I want you to put your present away and we will go to the backyard to see the moon.
After they had both put their presents away in their bedrooms, they went out in to the backyard and sat on a swinging chair that was meant for two people. The moon was beautiful that night and this moment was just appropriate for the surprise Owen had for Venus.
“Venus, I want to ask you and question and give you something that comes from my heart. I’m so devoted to you and I wish to share the rest of my love with you.”
He kissed Venus on the cheek and then asked, “Will you marry me? I love you very much and you are the only woman for me.”
Tears came to Venus’ eyes and as she said, “Yes, I will marry you.”
Owen took out the small box that was in his pocket, opened it and took out a large diamond ring. He placed it on her left hand and smiled when he saw that it fitted perfectly.
They embraced and their lips met. The ring shone in the moonlight and the beams showed up all of their perfect features. It was as though that the moon was only meant for them that night.
They held each other tight for a long time. Neither of them had been so happy before and all Owen could think of was that he had found his true love. Venus, goddess of love and beauty, had tamed that man.
She never wanted to let him go and he wished that she would always stay by his side, forever.
Later on, they celebrated that moment with their glasses of champagne. It was truly a moment to remember for the rest of their lives.
