What in the h*ll is wrong with men? Seriously. How is it that a man can turn absolutely any conversation into all about THEM? I remember now why I don't want a bf. My friend Brad, I was talking about how I didn't really like my job. And he told me that he likes everything that he does and that if I don't like my job I should just quit it like he did. And persue something that I like. Then he had the audacity to tell me that I didn't have to work a job that I didn't like and that I CHOSE to do it. I must tell you that Brad still lives at home with his parents, doesn't pay any bills, and doesn't work. He lives off of his parents and he is giving me advice on how to be happy! What is that?? I don't have the luxury of lying around and letting my parents do everything for me. I have a real job and I have to do it, or the bills don't get paid! That's a fact!

Men just don't get it. You were probably just venting to him & instead of just listening and sympathizing w/ you (like a woman would) he has to feel all manly and try to fix the problem (even though you weren't asking him to) by telling you how you can change the situation and you should just do it his manly-man way. GAG! I read a book that explained women just want to be heard, but what men hear is that something needs to be fixed and its ingrained in them to do it. They cant help themselves. Poor sods.

In addition, especially not in THIS economy can you quit one job and find another next day... on a whim!

Sorry to buldge in like that, but actually... I also try to help people solving the problems they come to me with... 'Course it's kind of silly of your friend to give that kind of advice when not really knowing what he's talking about... BUT I probably would have tried to give some piece of advice, too... Sorry....

I think that I probably would have tried to give advice also, but I think that I would go around it differently and I think if I was like the guy living off of my parents I wouldn't say anything but being independent like myself I would try to help, but avoid the "quit your job part"
