I thought I was going to be spending less time on the Internet because of my new job, wedding plans, etc. It turns out that I'm going to be laid up for approx. 12 weeks! So....I guess I'm here to stay for awhile. On Friday, I found out that I have to have my knee replaced! After dicussing it w/ my family this weekend, I've decided to go through with it. I've had rheumatoid arthritis since I was a youngster and although it is in remission, the wear and tear on my joints - particularly my knees - has caught up with me. I won't be able to start my job in Feb. as planned, but that can be worked around. I'd rather do it sooner than later, so I might as well get it done now. At the Drs. office, I'm the youngest one by about 50 years Bummer

I'm glad you're here to stay, even if the reason is not so fun! Keep your spirits up with lots of Wilson-boy perving and keep in mind that you'll be all fixed afterwards, yay! ;D Good luck.

Sorry to hear that, Maisy - but at least you'll have ample time for wedding planning. ;D The good news is that because you are so young, you should bounce back pretty quickly with PT. My brother was diagnosed with RA a couple of years ago at age 28. Luckily the medicine has kept it under control.

Sorry to hear your news. I have a friend who went through something similar and she told me while she was recovering she was watching the Home Shopping Network shows and ended up ordering a whole bunch of stuff she didn't need. She blamed it on the painkillers. She said that after the fifth day of packages arriving her mother confiscated her credit cards.
So beware while you are home recovering, and try to stay away from the shopping site. God only knows what you could end up ordering over the internet.
Take care and keep you spirits up.

Thanks guys! I can see the FedEx boxes piling up in the doorway I'm not one for the home shopping network, but I do have a weakness for Amazon.com and Sephoria (sp?), the make-up website. I'm hoping to get scheduled w/in the next few weeks. I'm going to a new hospital that only handles surgery patients. I hope I can go to S&H when it opens! Maybe I'll get one of those motorized cart things! If Owen can have a motorized skate board..........

Srry about the surg. Maisy. My dad's gotta have surgery on Thurs, for what I don't know. (I never know anything in my own household!) Watch (or go to: tlc.com and click on trading spaces) and look out for Ty, the really hott carpenter in your free time. He's a handy man, you'll feel better in no time!!!

Sorry to hear about that Maisy! If I could, I would send ya a Wilson boy! I might be willing to have surgery if you could send me one of the Wilson boys. I hear you really don't need your appendix. Okay, enough about me. How are you doing Maisy? If you don't mind my asking, how are your wedding plans going? I'm going to be a part of brothers wedding in September and we went to get the bridesmaids gowns the other night. There are so many to choose from but we all managed to agree on something without any bloodshed. Wishing you the same luck.

Haven't heard from you in awhile Maisy and wondering how you are doing- It has been a quite few days since your last posts and we know surgery is pending. Give us an update and let us know how we can cheer you up if the deed is already done. We're thinking about you HT

I'm baaaaaaack! I was in CA, visiting my parents and getting some plans taken care of. I popped in a couple of times, but didn't have time to really post much. I'm scheduled for surgery on 3/9. I toured the hospital and it has wireless internet access on every t.v.! Crazy. The wedding plans are coming along pretty well. So many details! We are almost done registering - I keep thinking the registry should be longer. There is just so much stuff we would never use, so it is sort of short right now. Does anyone really need 12 pilsners, high-balls, champagne flutes, snifters, etc? I use a juice glass once in a while, but barware for people who rarely drink? Why?! My mother claims we will be entertaining when my fiance is out of school. I think she is living in Bewitched, or something I feel sorry for the wedding planner. She has left my Mom and I alone a few times "so you two communicate between yourselves" There are some parts that are a lot of fun, though. I loved the menu taste testing (yummy!). There are only 8 in the wedding party (including us) and 2 flower girls/2 ring bearers. We're getting married @ the Four Seasons and having the reception there, so we don't have to worry about transportation, etc.. So....I'll keep you posted. Thanks for asking, guys!

Good to see your plans coming along well! I hope your time in the hospital isn't too horribly boring! We'll miss you!

Does anyone really need 12 pilsners, high-balls, champagne flutes, snifters, etc? Perhaps not, but up until December I worked in a store that sold that kind of thing and did wedding registers to boot Trust me, I can convince you you need them, even if you never drink
