OH these reviews are great! A lot of information ;D ;D ;D One reviewer says Owen's role Ned is "a large, very important role" and another reviewer says Owen is "MAGNIFICO!! His best performance yet!!" I am SO HAPPY SO HAPPY SO HAPPY I am also happy one reviewer says TLA resembles TRT but is "like nothing you have ever seen before". I can imagine the wonderful wonderful Wes World...!!!...which will surprise us however much we try to predict what it is going to be like...!!! OH MY GOD life is beautiful GO ON Triple Oscars (Wes and Owen and Bill)

I'm with you, BP. I want to see all three of them get Oscars. But how would Owen feel if Wes won for best screenplay? I think he'd be devastated. I do want Wes to get Best Director though. He definitely deserves it. I thought he should have been nominated for it for TRT. And it would be so cool to see a Wes Anderson film sweep the Oscars. Oh Yeah!!!!!!!

I dont think owen would be devastated if Wes won for Best Screenplay but it would open his eyes to all that he is missing out on when he puts his secondary career (movies) in front of his love, writing. Wes should win, starting now, I'm going to campaign for Wes' inclusion for this years oscars plus releasing it in December gives his film a great start along the path to OSCAR!!! Sneaky Wes, he probably knew Dec. was the HOT month for Oscar hopefuls!!!

Sneaky Wes, he probably knew Dec. was the HOT month for Oscar hopefuls!!! Of course he knew ;D Wes plans a lot of things ;D I think Wes will win an Oscar. I want Owen to win too!!! I think Owen deserves to win an Oscar for his acting but Oscar is a tricky thing. I think Wes and Owen were going to write TLA together at first. Then they decided not to...because Owen was too busy acting. It is so good they still spent a lot of time together in Italy and made a great movie (I haven't seen it but I KNOW it is great). It will just be the nice icing on the cake if they win Oscars.

Sneaky? Probably more Strategic... if truth be told. The investors are going to maximize the film's exposure and there is a very good chance that a semi comedic/dramatic offering could boost both Murray and Owen into Oscar contention for Best & Supporting Actor catagories. Bottom line is always money and a return on their confidence in Wes Anderson. That Wes would win the Oscar is my personal hope; he adheres to his visions and creativity- the fact that he is loyal to "the gal (supporters, including Owen)that he brought to the prom with him, shows the high water mark of his character.
DR & BP- On a pure visceral level- doesn't it suck that this adorable genius, with or without his wirerims, is behind the camera and not in front of it?? ;D HurlT

as much as I love Wes', and I do... I think it wise he's behind the camera, acting can be magical and wonderul, but also ugly, oppresive and humiliating... wes' is extraordinary as himself, and shouldn't be anyone else. No one could ever do him justice, I mean his choice of music, clothes, love of film is to real to ever be confined to abstract interpretations of acting.

HT, yeah I was always thinking, "Are behind Owen & Luke in the bus in BR and behind Owen & Gwyneth in Eli's car in TRT as much as this hot, sexy, cute director is ever going to be on screen?!" DR is probably right about Wes and acting. I'm not sure how much of an actor he is. He sure does have a talent in choosing actors and actresses. But what we clearly need are more documentaries, interviews, and pics of Wes! I mean, I really haven't seen many pics of him even at the Oscars 2002. He looked so sexy there. They should have taken loads more pics. Or Owen should take him to the Playboy Mansion I'm just going to post these for now... ...because they look SO CUTE like that. I can look at Owen & Wes forever I am hoping strongly that Wes will appear on chat shows nearer the time of the release of TLA. Ah Wes

I couldn't agree more Bunnypanda, his documentaries/interviews are fantastic...I like to just watch over and over again. His natural characteristics are mesmorizing...Wes is such an interesting creature and person.
