I didn't know where to put this - since the guy mentions seeing Andrew and Luke at Austin City Limits Music Festival- I thought I'd stimulate Andrew's section. His section of the board that is... Here's some BR fan - who's in a band in Dallas. He did a BR tour and was interviewed about it. Love his encounter with Luke and Andrew. It's cool that he's Billy Joe Shaver's cousin. www.dallasobserver.com/art/pdf/fullfrontal2004-06-17.pdf

Great article and I love the idea of taking photos in front of all the film locations. Wouldn't you just love to find that "section of road" where Dignan throws that rock into the windshield, just to see if the rock is still there waiting like trophy for any one of us to take home? HT

HT Excellent notion, HT. I can't think of too many other films for which taking a tour of locations would have more meaning. There is something about how commonplace the locations are- like the hotel - that give them so much charm. Lib

Boo Hoo! I couldn't open the article. But speaking of the motel, yeah, everytime I go through Dallas, I take a little detour off I-35 around Hillsboro and look for that motel. Have yet to find it. But the countryside around there looks remarkably similar to that in BR. I feel like the motel must be just around the next bend or just over the next little hill. Looks like an old 1950's style motel. It's possible it may have been torn down since BR. I hope not because it is a Wilson Shrine and should be preserved forever. We should get it registered as a national historic landmark!
