Oh thank you Hottie! It's Mom and Grandma friendly, too?! That's great!

What I want to know is this, why wasn't Luke at the premiere. I'm thinking he sneaked along to King Kong which premiered the same evening? OR The girlfriend grounded him?

I saw this today. I thought it was a great movie about families... good all around. Luke is great in it, he's hilarious, but he also shows his range.
edited to add: When this film comes out on dvd and people can make screen caps of it, you ladies will have some new material for the crotch thread... sweat pants... lots of em

Thanks Zinc, I'm wondering if the film will be "Husband friendly" now? He'll likely be the person accompanying me to my first Luke on the big screen encounter during the holidays. ;D

I was blown away! Ben Stone is up there with Anthony Adams and Richie Tenenbaum. I know I am Luke obsessed... but Luke was amazing. He is such a subtle actor. So much is conveyed with a look from him. The audience loved him - and they applauded when the film ended. I've read criticism that the pregnant sister and Claire Danes were not developed enough I totally disagree. I think reviewers and moviegoers today expect to be slapped in the face with ideas and storylines. I love Paul Schneider and he was great too. Thad Stone (Tyrone Giordano) was adorable. Dermot, Rachel and Craig T. Nelson were all great as well. I laughed when I saw Luke's sweater in the last scene of the film. Where is it that Luke said that the director wanted to show that he had changed, but Luke just thought it showed his character didn't have any taste.

Back again, guys! Haha. But I actually made time last night to see "The Family Stone". I must say, I loved this movie. It was a little weird, but in the end I really did love it. Luke did a superb job!

The movie is great. Everyone in the theater was laughing, too. There is some bittersweetness to it as well, but it is not heavy-handed. The ending is satisfying and I don't say that about most movies. It is also Momma and Grandma friendly, like Hottie said. You can't say that too much either.

I completely agree! My friend and I seemed to laugh the most at Luke's character. He was great! This movie is definitely well-rounded and stirs up so many emotions. It's a good holiday flick that warms your heart and tickles your funny bone!

I saw it today. It was absolutely wonderful. I am speechless. Just...just....very moving film. Luke was so funny! The audience laughed out loud at a lot of things he said (and did)......he was so touching in the scene with Craig T. Nelson....he really got to show his range in this film. Two thumbs up! Beth

Count me among the "blown-away." This movie was not quite as funny as I expected; but it was WAYYY better than I expected too.
Bring kleenex, y'all.
Luke was fantastic.
And I never realized before what a beautiful woman Claire Danes is.

Me and Sculpty went to see it. OMG...Luke was so adorable in this movie. What a great movie....there was so much more to than just humor. I am becoming more and more of a Luke lover. I so liked the towel scene...I was waiting for it to drop.
