I spotted a Favorite Owen Movie thread so thought I would do the same for Luke! So what is everyone's favorite Luke movie and why? Well I really find it sooooo hard to single out a favourite but if someone pointed a gun to my head (apart from die of a heart attack ) I would have to say ummmm Old School with Blue Streak an incredibly close second. I just thought Old School was freakin hillarious from beginning to end.

Old School, without a doubt. He looks incredible the whole way through, and his acting in this movie is definitely his best, IMHO.

I don't have a fav. But I really really loved Home Fries. It was suprisingly good. I had pretty low expectations for it since a lot of the critics hated it. Oh and I think he looked so young and clueless in that movie. So adorable. ;D

I really liked Old School...it was absolutley hilarious, luke looked just too sexy for words (wifebeater + kyjelly + Luke = ) and Will Ferrel is awesome. The Royal Tenenbaums was probably, IMO, the best quality film that he has been in. His best acting ability is truely shown in that movie. (not to mention Owen is in it! haha)

I agree 100% kc I too would have to say Old School and TRT. But ummm I have to admit I first really sat up and paid attention to Luke when I saw him as Emmet in LB - it was a "hello" OMG! followed by moment for me

I enjoy any Wilson in any movie. I do have a strong preference for scenes that are done well though and I think that Luke was an exceptional secondary character in the movie- MY DOG SKIP. He really connected his character to the little boy and was just so wrecked when he returned home from the war. My favorite scene is the one with him getting out of the cab in the rain and staring through the neighbor boy when he calls his name. Luke hit it right on the nailhead with that one.

I really liked Alex & Emma. Luke and Kate Hudson had good chemistry together and the story was very funny.
Bottle Rocket is my fave. It's like a Wilson home movie that just has to be seen quite often.
In Blue Streak Luke and Laurence play off each other very well. Luke has excellent comedic timing. I would have liked to see a sequel to this one, they made a good team.

Brought this up on deck for you Furg... I thought it was wonderful as well- HT Thanks HurlT I thought the film was charming and warm and well acted. Not a hint of precocious·ness from any of the child actors, Frankie Muniz was very able acting alongside his cohorts. Lukes opening scene.... *swoon* AXL GREASE....up to his elbows and a monkey wrench in his hand ;D.... *pants*... A young man, untainted and sweet, sensitive to his surroundings about to take up the challenge of war and all its horrors. (slight forehead acting in this scene) His next scene....wearing uniform.......woo and yay!! Sets off to Europe to become the diseased and tortured man we find in his killer scene .... Wet Luke, although silent was well delivered and totally convincing (intense forehead acting in this scene, lol)...awww I really felt for them both... To puerilely sum up, greased up Luke, uniformed Luke, wet Luke and angry Luke....PHWOAR! Go and rent it if you missed it..lol Has anyone read the book of the film, I wonder what scenes if any of Dinks were cut out of the film? This thread reads your favourite Luke movie, I have'nt seen them all yet to make a final decision....Bottle rocket is out there in front at the moment

Gosh, to pick a favorite......I don't know if that's possible.....I loved "My Dog Skip" too-Luke got to show off his acting chops in that one, as he did as Richie in TRT and Anthony in BR-the words sweet and soulful come to mind for those. I loved him as Peter Flynn-that dinner table scene was hysterical-he looked so embarassed when Max started yelling...the way he kind of glanced at the other diners in that sheepish way... I loved him in Bongwater! I had to buy that on Amazon to see it because I couldn't find it anywhere but he was great. He had a cute scene with his Mom in that one (played by Patricia Wettig from thirtysomething) that made me just want to hug him......"did you bring me tuna?"...."now, Mom, you're cheating....." I also enjoyed "Home Fries"-the lamaze scene was great as was the scene where he waltzed into the restaurant and told them he had to attend a funeral and couldn't work that day -he looked so good there-like an FBI agent or something with the suit and glasses. I also liked the bathtub scene from "Committed" too. He cries so beautifully.....all the little whimpers and the sniffling...even though he was playing a loser in that one, he made me want to hug him so he did a good job of drumming up sympathy for an unlikeable character. I haven't seen everything he's done yet (Best Men, Legally Blonde 2 and that one with Dennis Farina?) and I'm looking forward to TWBS of course. That sounds like its going to be great. Beth

The BAD SEED with Dennis Farina was good. He shines alot brighter than the rest of the cast. Look to that particular thread Gage and while you're at it - tell me about your opinion regarding Kill the Man. I have looked for this animal since Natalie posted those outrageous screen caps of Luke in his boxers and it is Killing Me! I go to that site for a "Luke Fix" occasionally and it drives me frickin' nuts not to see the full feature. The Big Bounce remains my personal "Owen Fix" and I happen to owen that wonderful DVD! HurlT;D

I'll give you my opinion . . . perfection!
"Kill the Man" is one of my favorite Luke movies. I love the swing set scene. Those of you who have seen it will know what I mean. HT--I think I might know where you can get a copy. I haven't been able to find it on DVD anywhere. But, the rewinding and fast forwarding a thousand times is well worth it!
I love Luke in "Old School," too!

I did order Dog Park and Best Men the other day from Amazon. I browsed again tonight and couldn't find Kill the Man at all. So AlsoAVirgo, if you could tell me how to get a copy of this I'd be grateful. I did find Bad Seed but only used copies and they were $23.00-which seems like a lot to me for used. I guess I could look at some of the videostores to see if I can find it. I saw something called Soul Survivors....is this worth buying in anyone's opinion? You will like Luke in Bongwater HT, he is very good as the stoner guy......Jack Black is pretty good too but I think Luke steals the scenes that they have together. Enjoy it! Beth ps) my copy of The Big Bounce is almost worn out from all of the rewinding of the Owen and Andrew shirtless scenes.........plus I love that cute scene of Owen playing dominos with Harry Dean Stanton, Morgan Freeman and Willie Nelson and Owen is just bustin' a gut laughing. I mean he is having one heck of a belly laugh and for some reason I love to watch that scene over and over again.

:)Soul Survivors..........Luke plays a priest, and that REALLY does it for me! He is so sweet, and caring, and his voice is just a little gravelly/honey whisper.
I would say, rent it, because he isn't in it very long, and if you watch it 3-4 times on a weekend, you can memorize his part, but if you can't rent, definitely worth buying.

I honestly couldn't pick just one movie as my favorite. I liked all of the Luke movies that I have seen - each in their own way.
Great reading all of your thoughts though! I have to say that I agree with all of your posts.
