TEEN PEOPLE Trendspotter Kelly Riffer, 16, of Los Angeles says that 2001's The Royal Tenenbaums is her favorite Luke Wilson movie of all time. Well, she hadn't seen My Super Ex-Girlfriend yet, but we bet she will see it now that the movie, which stars Luke and Uma Thurman is out now in theatres. Kelly recently sat down with Luke to ask him some questions on behalf of TEEN PEOPLE. "It was fun," she says of the interview. "He was really down-to-earth and provided thorough answers to my questions." Read some of the answers that appear in our September issue -- and some that are exclusive to TeenPeople.com!
Kelly: In My Super Ex-Girlfriend, Uma Thurman plays an ex who torments you. What's she like in real life?
Luke: I made the same mistake with her that everyone does -- you see her in a movie, and you think that's what she's like. She seems imposing, kind of like royalty. But she couldn't be nicer, and we had a ton of fun.
Kelly: Have you had crazy exes?
Luke: No, I've been lucky. I may have called a few psycho, but that's just because they'd had it with me -- like, "She's crazy if she's sick of me!"
Kelly: Have you ever turned down a movie role that, in retrospect, you regretted?
Luke: There was one time when I turned down a movie that would have been a good deal financially, but I just didn't want to it.
Kelly: Which movie?
Luke: (Laughs) I'd rather not say, because then the guy that did do the movie would feel badly. Even though he got, like, two million dollars!
Kelly: What is it like when you do movies with your brother Owen?
Luke: It's really fun. We get along really well, and we have the same sense of humor. Usually, when you start a new movie, it's like being the new kid at high school, trying to meet everybody, and we don't have to waste that time. We already know that we don't like each other (laughs)! We don't get to work together that much, and when we do, we just want to make it hilarious and the best. People are always trying to get us to do stuff together stupidly, but you don't want to waste your time doing something you don't care about.
Kelly: You're writing a script for a movie that you'll star in with Martin Lawrence. What inspired that?
Luke: I have tons of time on my hands, and you can only play so much golf.
Kelly: Kevin Federline plays a lot of golf.
Luke: Does he? I'm starting to feel bad for that guy. Maybe I'll have him over to my house sometime. He gets a bad rap. [But] I read that he's 28 and has four children, and I thought, "Wow, that's productive!"
