Yay!
I just noticed in this week's Entertainment Weekly that Luke is scheduled for Thu the 8th. And I verified this on the NBC site. But TVGuide indicates the 9th. So we should watch the dates closely - they might change.

ooooh, thanks Lib!! I'm wondering if the "AM" thing is messing everyone up. I know it messes me up. ;D I mean, is Conan on at 12:35 Eastern time (on the 9th) AND 11:35 PM everyone else's time, on the 8th? Hmmm.... It's all very confusing to me.

LMAO at Luke in this interview!!!! His tranny neighborhood. Uma is accessible like Yellowstone National Park. . "I'm not making any sense!" LMAO He's saying that he's always told that he doesn't move enough during love scenes. Great interview.

He was great! I love how he just comes out with stuff-the whole Tranny thing and pretending to have chest pain to get out of an uncomfortable situation. Those stories could seem in bad taste if told by someone else but he pulls them off somehow. Conan was really laughing. I also enjoyed the analogy of Uma and Yellowstone Park. Thankfully, Conan helped him out on that one. "You wouldn't want to drive your winnebago on her......" Conan really had Luke laughing at the end when he was comparing himself to Big Bird and I love how Luke got a little dig in at The NY Post for ratting him out about where he was living. Go Luke! Beth, loved the scene they showed between Luke and SJP

I thought his humor was funny, yet at second take questionably appropriate-- When he he made his remarks about his co-star's exceptional looks and his humorous dig at the pain in his side, especially in his regard to "the future." Considering his present "follow me" live-in-arrangement with his close beloved redhead-it seemed... "?"
Maybe it's simply a ghost trailer to disguise his very serious amorous intent or is it more likely resembling the top hit by Jann Arden, "Insensititive...?" To identify a co-worker as the 'most beautiful woman you have ever seen' vs. 'the most beautiful woman you have ever worked with' is a fine line that any one of us (in love) would respect and yet we would still scrutinize and lament, if we were his object of affection. I wonder how it was truly received back at the loft in downtown Manhatten...?
Sometimes I simply rejoice at my mate's increasing myopic vision- While he progressively approaches "Mr Magoo" status, he has never failed to tell me that I am the most beautiful woman in his world. I smile at the visual paradox and simply believe his visual version because my love convinces me (and consequentially himself) that this is so.
Is real love in Luke's future? I think I'll just await the formal announcement at this point... The L-Train may not yet have discovered the L-Pinnacle...
I know my opinion will be controversial- HT

He said some things that offended me slightly. It felt a little bit like gay bashing when he was talking about the trannies. People are going to disagree with me here and that's fine. I don't want to start any fights. I happen to live in one of the most liberal places in the country and am very sensitive to isssues of heterosexism, racism, sexism etc.
Here's my take (for what its worth). From what I can see, in this film he plays the off the wall, laid back brother (actually more of a role you'd see Owen in) and so his stories have been tailored to that. Everytime you see a celebrity on TV, they are working. This is a very important thing to remember. I remember being little and watching talk shows and feeling like they were just these fun parties where glamorous people went at night and had a fabulous time being fabulous. Now when I watch them, I still enjoy, but its with the knowledge that this is advertisment disguised as entertainment, that it was filmed in the middle of the afternoon, and that the people there aren't telling their stories to have fun with one another but are telling select things about themselves that might help to sell the particular movie they are promoting. Just like Owen does a movie that is all about weddings and suddenly he's talking about how he'd like to be married some day in every interview.

I agree ZinC. I always take everything the boys say with a grain of salt. They have learned the art of telling stories without telling too much. You can see a big difference in the interviews they did when they first started in the biz - they were more forthcoming. Not that I am saying what they do now is a bad thing. They've just learned to protect their privacy a bit more. They are good story tellers. I am really enjoying all this Luke press! He looked amazing on Conan. Did you notice Luke seemed a bit peeved about the Post printing where he lives now? I wouldn't be surprised if he moves. I would. Considering the fact that he is just working when he's doing press... what about the reports of him ogling the TRL VJ? That I could see not going over well with his gal.

I agree with you, ZinC and Lib. It's entertainment, and not to be taken seriously. But... I also had a fleeting moment of wonder about Luke's girlfriend and how she would feel about his story about the "pain". I have since convinced myself that that too was a cover up. But I still wonder... would I love or hate to play poker with the boys? Am I seeing through it, or falling for it? Furg, I'll try to get a transcipt up on Monday.
