I know this was mentioned over here somewhere, but I can't find it. Move this if needed......
And here is what was said.....
Willie:
I was in California, visiting some of my wife's relatives through Christmas and New Year's... and that's when I... when it happened. And uh... you know the first thing you are... you're stunned... you can't believe it. And as time goes on more and more, unbelievable things happen.
Luke:
It's one of those things, yeah, when it happens you can't really believe it. The way it looks and on the news... you know, the shots you see.....
Willie:
And seein' the wave come in, y'know, they showed it over and over and over again... and how devastating it really was...
Luke:
Maybe it's just one of those things where media... but just the stories you... you.. read about in the paper and the things you saw on TV... and y'know... kids gettin' seperated from their parents just... y'know ... just... things that kind of go straight to your heart and it just seems so... so terrible what happened. And it, yeah, I think... one of the good things to come out of it is that it does connect with people... it gets people across the world probably thinkin' about it... and then wanting.. wanting to help.. which, y'know, might not always be the case.
Willie:
I've always felt like that uh y'know we were all together we were all one and uh anything that happens to someone else also happens to you and me. But it was one of those things that everybody wanted to do something. And Austin.... naturally being Austin... and Texas being Texas, they were right there on that very spot ready to help.
Music brings people together, period.
