Re-reading my last post regarding SNL- What a constipated comment... I apologize. Chock it up to a day-old grumpy midnight migraine and not enough rest. Back to my darkened room today, my bucket and my Chamomile tea... HurlT

Sorry, I had high hopes for the show. Luke did well, I was just disappointed with the skits. I like U2...um...too. I never meant they were dull. SNL just isn't as good as I remembered. (Am I sounding like Debbie Downer?) I'll have to watch the tape again. Loved Luke in the wigs... too cute! . On edit... I'll never look at a Bop-It again the same way!

Hello all!
I can't wait to pop in my tape to watch Luke on SNL again. I agree that he did a fantastic job last night--I almost didn't want it to end! My favorite skit was the one Librarian referred to where he and another guy were feeding eachother while their girlfriends looked on in disbelief. I also liked the one where he played the "Cool" teacher.
I totally agree! Right before he came out I felt like a nervous mother waiting for her child to come out in his first school play. But, he did great! And, am I the only one who thinks he looks great when he wears a T-shirt with a long sleeve shirt underneath? He was wearing that the second time he introduced U2, I think. He was smokin'!
Like I said--I can't wait to watch the tape again. Now it just makes me crave MORE LUKE!
Did anyone happen to see where he went when U2 was singing their last song? Everytime they panned to the cast I was looking for him but didn't see him. I'll check again when I watch my tape.

You are sooo right... I was more nervous than he was and that layered look is so fine on both Luke and Owen! I looked too and didn't see him. I wouldn't doubt that his brothers could have been there. I can't see them passing up the chance to party with Bono and Edge... Too bad Owen and Andrew didn't just drop by the Thanksgiving Day skit and breath some life into that "dead turkey" literally and figuratively!

It is on Cable in OZ. Arena - Channel 28. They play repeats and new eps, but you have to wait a couple of weeks. Argh! How stupid can I get! Tell me more about OZ Arena - Channel 28. Please!! *begs* I would really love to watch this show and other overseas shows. Australian TV can be dull.

Oh thanks for all your reviews ladies. My friend in Texas has taped SNL for me and is bringing it over when she comes to London to see The Darkness. If I manage to get it converted and track down someone with a tape to tape facility I don't mind sending you other Brits a copy.

Librarian, they're my other obssesion. I'm going to see them in Glasgow on Friday , then I'm going down to Wembley to see them too. Tis nearly causing a divorce here. The girl that taped SNL for me said the Luke was looking hot! and she's not even a fan. Am slowly converting everyone into a Wilsonette. ;D

I watched my tape again last night and was trying so hard to spot him. You're probably right--maybe there was someone there (his brothers, etc.) that he was visiting with.
I have to say one of my favorite lines of Luke's was during the skit where he was sharing food with his old high school buddy. Maya Rudolph, who played his girlfriend, wanted to have one of the appetizers fed to her and Luke's response was something like, "What, are your arms broken? There's some right there, babe." Maybe one of you can remember the quote exactly. Whatever it was, it was priceless! I loved it!

Now that I have watched it for the third time and my family is becoming skeptical that I find U2 ALL THAT FASCINATING....I have to say that I would really love copies of those still shots of "Mr. Roberts/Phil" the Coolest Teacher in School. I'll take a poster of both the rock star or the skateboard king. Love that doofus goatee-zer! ;DHT Final Edit: My son tells me that if I that's a skateboard then my chances of meeting Luke Wilson are better than his chances of getting the requested snowboard for Christmas!! I have to confess, I found the show's writing to be a little uninspired; Luke however did an amazing good job with mediocre material. SNL is usually a lot funnier although the food sharing skit was good.
I have a whole new respect for U2. I never followed them very closely, but that last performance just blew me away....jumping down to the audience level and performing right in front of them and then grabbing the camera so that the tv viewers had a closeup of him....wow, that's great showmanship!
