ok, am I reading this article correctly.....Luke is going to host Saturday Night Live? This would be too good to be true....surely I've misinterpreted something along the way of reading this?!
From Billboard.com
"To accompany its upcoming album, U2 is planning a coordinated blitz that will visit touch down on U.S. television networks. Having already seen and heard in a frequently aired ad for Apple's iPod, the Irish rock act is planning a live appearance on "Saturday Night Live" and will have songs included on at least one popular drama.
The performance on NBC's "SNL" is slated for Nov. 20, the weekend before Interscope's scheduled Nov. 23 release of "How To Dismantle an Atomic Bomb." Actor Luke Wilson ("Old School," "Bottle Rocket") will host.
(maybe he'll do a something with Owen and Andrew?!)
The band last appeared on the late-night variety show in 2000, performing "Beautiful Day" and "Elevation" a little more than a month after the release of the album "All That You Can't Leave Behind."
The band will achieve further saturation as new album cut "Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own" will be heard during the Dec. 2 episode of Fox's "The O.C.," a network spokesperson confirms.
Additionally, CBS' "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" has already featured a snippets of first single "Vertigo" in an episode, and will reportedly add "Atomic Bomb" cuts into two upcoming programs. A spokesperson for the network was unable to confirm details by deadline.
Along with a standard CD release, "How To Dismantle an Atomic Bomb," will also be available on vinyl, as well as two CD editions with a bonus DVD featuring footage of U2 in the studio plus performances of as-yet-unnamed songs. The deluxe version will house the CD and DVD in a 48-page hardbound book.
