So the time is drawing near... it's that dreaded "holiday" Valentine's Day which I do not typically like to celebrate, mainly because I believe that Hallmark made up this day in order to bring in more profits after Christmas. Anyway, my question to you all would be this: if you happened to be with Luke, what would you be purchasing him for valentine's day this year? so many possibilities.... hehehe....

Anyway, my question to you all would be this: if you happened to be with Luke, what would you be purchasing him for valentine's day this year? Purchase, Kelley? LMAO. I, for one, can tell you that there are several things I'd be willing to give him for free LOL. Okay, aside from that (ahem), a weekend away would do the trick, or a nice dinner out. I'm not sure about actual gifts, I love to give but I'm usually pretty terrible at picking them. I'd probably give him a nice watch or something. Or a thumb ring. Thumb rings are hot on guys.

November, do aromatherapy oils actually work? I've always been curious about them but have never actually tried them. I'm kind of skeptical Out of interest, what do you recommend for destressing and energizing? I might give it a go!

I been thinking about this one and to be truthful, I think the best Valentine gift "this magic genie" could give both Owen and Luke, would be one whole day of complete privacy and anonimity. I am sure that the guys never imagined that to let the Trojan Horse in was going to create the monster called celebrity. Success in their chosen field, given their looks and talent, comes with a high price tag...
Imagine one whole day without papazzi, looking like an Average Joe, smiling at the HomeDepot clerk. There is awesome realization that when she smiles back at you that she has no preconceived notions about who you are. When she chases you down in the parking lot to give you a forgotten receipt--it's because she couldn't let you go without talking to you once more and NOT because she wants your autograph...If she's smart she'll notice the Lakers cap in the rear window of your car and ask you what you think of the team's chances this year. When you tell her you have tickets and ask her to go to the game with you- you will know that she says "yes" just because she is attracted to you as a person. For that moment in time -they are just average guys having the attention of a woman who is not a supermodel or actress with an angle. Genuine attraction has no price tag, but celebrity tends to gift them OR rob them at every corner...
I hope that Valentine's Day means something special to Andrew, Luke and Owen and that they find a measure of privacy and happiness in their busy lives...HT

What a lovely thought, HT! You know the saying "A present is something you give someone that you want them to have. A gift is something that you give someone that theywant have?" Your suggestion would be a great gift Happy Hallmark Hearts Day!!

That is a great idea HT. I think we all wish the boys that and for that matter, all of the celebrities in the world. I can't even imagine what their lives must be like. Happy Corporate-endorsed, loved-themed merchandising day!

I jumped in a little late, and I'm more of an Owen girl, but Kelly, still think that V-day is a Hallmark trap?? I'm not sure what I would give him, cuz I don't really know his interest the way I know Owen's, so I'm a little stumped there!!

Wow! I can't really top your post from last year HT. That was beautiful and I'm sure Andrew, Owen and Luke would adore some time away from prying eyes just to get a few moments of normalcy again. I'm sure that they appreciate what they have and know that the paparazzi come with the territory but I'm sure that they'd still love a day to themselves out of the limelight. Well, this year they are all getting some really cool handmade soaps made by Gretchen-they look good enough to eat! I guess I just wish the boys continued health, happiness and success. That's boring but it's what I'd wish for anybody. Beth

HT, I re-read what you wrote last year and I wouldn't change a thing. After another year of ever greater success & fame, just think how much more your gift would be appreciated.
And I loved the way you explained your V-Day wish.
