Thanks, Bliss. What you say has the ring of validity to it, and I hope it is true and the other a rumor. I like Ben but, like the others, I am so wanting to see Owen in this role. It's a perfect role for him: a comedy involving a dog!
I think a light comedy is a good vehicle for him to return to film-making post August troubles. Plus it will be the first time we see him playing the part of a husband which ought to be interesting. And it's easy to see him playing the husband of Jennifer Aniston too; they look like a plausible couple.
(Lucky Jennifer!!!)

I agree, I hope he does end up in the movie, I'd like to see it like I say I read the book it was pretty funny and I could picture him in the role... yeah I think him and Jen would make a plausible couple mind you I like Ben Stiller too, the film would also be good with him in it hmmm I dunno... maybe they could both be in it, as different people? that would be cool, I dunno, I guess we'll have to wait and see. I sometimes forget what happened in August, I suppose we don't know for sure what Owen is going to do in terms of his career... I was wondering if he'll maybe go on Larry King or a similar show in the next three months or so, possibly, to talk about everything and to promote Drillbit coming out too... or is it maybe still a bit too early, I don't know... anyway thats kind of off topic but I hope the movie goes ahead as it should be good, the book was a good read

Thanks for the answers,I feel kind of relieved now I hope you don't mind I picked this rumour up but it was the first time I heard about it and I guess I was a little bit shocked....! But I should have known better:not to trust what's posted on the IMDB message board (unless it's "official")

Thats ok, I've read some things online in the past and been like 'whaaattt?! oh no!' and then when it turns out to not be true, its such a relief lol I guess you just have to remind yourself how easy it is to type things in and submit it online but wheres the proof? without an official article or news story that backs up the information, you can never be sure... ive been caught out by rumours before though as I say, so your not the only one. I hope he is still in the movie, it sounds good... and I thought Jen had been in contact with him(?) mind you that could also be a rumour, I dunno lol

Cool. That pretty much confirms that Owen is still on the cast list *phew* though it sounds like it'll take a while for filming to start but I can wait

That's good news and he really is a great actor I liked "Little Miss Sunshine". Oh yeah, I knew I recognised his name from somewhere... Little Miss Sunshine is a great movie, I really enjoyed that. The rude grandfather, what a character!

First time I saw Alan Arkin was in "The Russians Are Coming, The Russians Are Coming." He was fantastic! If you haven't seen it yet, I recommend it. Keep in mind it was made in the early 60's during the Cold War. Also one of those "big" movies with an all-star cast.
Watch Alan Arkin also in the original "The In-Laws" with Peter Falk!
Modified to add: Oh dear, I've gone off-topic again!

I have to disagree and say that I really dislike jennifer aniston, and the only reason I am not looking forward to this movie is because I don't want to see her as owen's wife! #dazed# maybe I am being mean, but oh well. LOL

Hey lavender butterfly i´m not that big jennifer aniston fan either.. she´s not that exciting on my book, i guess.. i´d love to see a movie where owen would have the lead and the female lead would be someone really exciting.. cant say right now who that would be #dontknow# i´ll have to think about that one..
