Hello and welcome hutchshottie!!! I love Owen in BEL very much too. And I love how he sounded so proud of his job in it when he said his brothers were stunned when they saw it. That's adorable. I hope he wins an Oscar one day too...either in writing or acting.

BUMP
For all the UK people, channel 4 will be showing Behind Enemy Lines on Saturday 2nd September 9.25pm - 11.25pm.
I haven't seen this film, so I will probably tape it. Just one question to those of you who have seen it, is it a war film, lots of killing etc, because I really don't like "war" type films, but if it's Owen evading capture, no torturing or anything, then I might give it a go.
Plus, from reading the posts above, it sounds like Owen did a great job in the role of Chris Burnett. Maybe I should see it for myself.

Britgirl, I though BEL was a great movie. If torture bothers you, there might be a couple parts that you'll have to do "a Remi" and cover your eyes. But, it's really not that bad, and I don't think they really show anything anyways... not sure though, (see above).

I did watch it emma999 and although I thought Owen did a great job playing the role of Chris Burnett, I just didn't like it. It wasn't my type of film at all. Still, I've seen it at last.

Its not really my type of movie either but its being shown on TV here tonight (for any Brits its on in under an hour on Five, at 9pm) and as I haven't seen it before, I'll have to give it a watch, got my trusty PVR taping it I'll most likely write a review and post it tomorrow

Owen is sooooo hot in Behind Enemy Lines. The short hair is a different look for him but I love it. He gets all hot and sweaty and dirty in this movie. And oh how I do love a man in uniform. Guess that's why I married one!

ok here's my review of Behind Enemy Lines (as originally posted by me under my Ciao UK username, IzzyS). I dont mean to offend Americans by the mention of it being a bit too 'American-y', hopefully you understand what I mean!

Yeah I really liked the movie. I normally just stick to comedies so I had very low expectations and such but anyways I thought it was really good. Of course a lot of that was due to Owen being in it but still. He did a really great job, I was like dang! I was pretty much screaming at the TV through the whole thing. I was very disturbed that scary foreign men were shooting mass quantities of bullets at my sweet butterscotch stallion, and when the guy was holding the gun up against Ow's face I was like basically peeing my pants. I got very into the movie. Hahaha. I always like reading the reviews you post Lom, you sound very professional in them

Good review, Lom. I must have missed reading it sooner. I wasn't sure what you meant about it being "typically American" except that the movie is based on the true story of American pilot, Scott O'Grady, who was shot down over Bosnia in 1995.
Maybe you found Admiral Reigart's comment as being typical of American movies. But I'm not sure if the movie had been made by a film company from another country you wouldn't find the same chauvinistic comments as Reigart's, this time poking fun at Americans and making Americans look like the idiots.
;D
One quick example: Joe Don Baker, the American agent, in Tomorrow Never Dies was the buffoon against the sexy, perfect, British agent James Bond (Pierce Brosnan)
