Thank you, Susan. I've not seen that article before. Yes, Richard Avedon was a famous portrait photographer and Laura Wilson's mentor. She worked with him for a long time. I remember when he died in San Antonio; hard to believe it's already been 4 years! Laura Wilson was with him in the hospital and when he died. I used to know which hospital it was in which he died but I've forgotten. (There are many hospitals in San Antonio). I believe he was hospitalized for a day or two before he died. Laura may have been the only virtual "family" member present for him at his death. For more about Richard Avedon: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_AvedonThis article mentions Laura Wilson and even has a link to her. I didn't realize she was born in Ft. Worth, TX. I thought she was from Massachusetts. Maybe she was born in Ft. Worth but raised in Massachusetts? Article doesn't specify. It says Laura Wilson was born in 1945, her father was an engineer, and her mother's name was Laurie. Coincidentally, my father was an engineer, one of my brothers was born in 1945, and I have a sister named Laurie. ;D

Thank you TG and caraboo! well, there was still tons of info about Avedon and that was propably mostly correct. Looks like he had very interesting career. I´ll have to look in to his pics some day.

We don't know the source of anyone's information about Laura Wilson. Nobody cites their sources so that what they write can be verified.

If your information is accurate, why not edit Wikipedia? I don't know why anyone would delete accurate information.

I don't know why you think that anyone who cares about his forum would post inaccurate information. TG
I don't see why I should be editing wikipedia either, I would rather that I shared info here with people who would be genuinely interested.
I am tired of veiled snarkiness and having to justify myself everytime I post something. I don't understand why this happens and it is the reason why I don't post very often.

"Veiled snarkiness"? I was assuming your information is correct; that's why I recommended you edit Wikipedia. I've heard it's possible for anyone to do. Maybe I heard wrong.

caraboo, I'm sorry you're irritated, but I think that TG was just stating the general facts. You yourself in your post admitted that the info seemed wrong. I guess she was saying that the Wikipedia people didnt cite the source of information.
Also, everyone on this forum has the right to express their views. And also, if someone contradicts you, it isnt necessary that you reply. Its your choice. No one expects you to justify anything.
I sincerely hope you start enjoying this forum, the people here are really nice.
TG, I guess you can edit Wikipedia, provided you join it.
