How can you say that about Luke's movies? #duh# I don't think he has a list of terrible movies. The British movie although I have not seen it, I am sure it is very good as British movies are. That said however, it does not mean that the remake of this movie which Luke is scheduled to be in, will not be as good or perhaps better than the original version. P.S. #welcome# to the "Wilsonettes"

sorry my comment seemed a little rude. i hate chris rock and luke has made some bad movies lately. like my super ex,blonde ambition. death at a funeral is an amazing movie, and chris rock i think will ruin it with his sterotypes...luke has made some great movies but lately not so much.i have liked him since bottle rocket and dont like to see him play second fiddle in movies to ppl who r clearly less talented.the boyfriend roles r beneath him..middle men is one im very interested in.....peace and love xxxx

You weren't being rude, this film obviously has a lot of die hard fans who don't like the thought of Chris Rock making a remake only 2 years or so after the original. I haven't seen the British film so can't comment on that and will wait to see the remake but that could be quite a while as IMDB lists the UK release date as 4 June 2010! I don't know if that's a good or bad sign for the film, but we have to wait so long now to see Luke in anything. I think I'd prefer it now if Luke was offered a good TV part as so many Hollywood actors are now combining a TV and film career. At least then we'd see him more often on screen.

i think the problem is, he has made 2 bombs in a row,so he is not gonna be offered many parts. and maybe he enjoys golf more. he was so amazing in henry poole ,but that film never found an audience and in hollywood u r judged by your last role, but as an actor he has such a wonderful expressive face it kills me..he stole the show in family stone and he was amougest good actors. it killed me to watch blonde ambition it was so bad, as was his performance, but i do rate him as a great actor who is not finding the parts, but middle men i`m looking foward to..but tenure not so much, its been sitting without release 4 ever, which is always a sureb sign of a bad movie.but i hope i`m wrong because i really want new luke movies.......i hope death at a funeral will not be a smutty african american sterotype movie..

It's not a good time for the film industry, not only because of the recession but free downloads are killing the business too. That's why I think a good tv series would suit Luke and raise his profile a lot more.

yeah but only if it was great like arrested development or the sopronos..hate to see him in something like csi. I do feel like there is more to come from luke, if he just gets over the super ex and bloody awful blonde ambition slump ..He has made a few excellent movies, but i do watch everthing he is in and enjoy all of his performances. And he is great in both drama and comedy.I hear he is delveloping a new movie with andrew, this is good news

Luke seems to have a genius for surviving the bombs he's done (The Third Wheel for instance), then stepping up to performance challenges like Vacancy and Henry Poole. How sad that his best work - like Henry Poole - got so little attention while the Blonde movies do so well at the box office in comparison.
I agree with Rach in that I hope Luke is done with being the supportive boyfriend (the Blonde movies, Charlie's Angels) or the immature thirtysomething (Old School). Of course, Old School was fun. But I almost felt like Luke's talent was wasted on it yet, at the same time, I was glad to see Luke in something.
We know Luke is capable of so much more because he's proved himself. Maybe Luke needs better representation? Or maybe he really does prefer playing golf to finding better acting jobs.
Maybe Luke is like Owen: best when acting his own writing (Wendell Baker).
I'd love to see Luke do TV - and Owen too. Maybe Luke would find more diverse parts better suited to his talent through TV than the film industry - at least for the moment while films seem to be in a slump, economically and creatively. Of course, the best, most creative films tend to be indies which Luke seems to like to do - maybe for that very reason.

It would be really cool if Luke got on True Blood. He'd make a great werewolf!!!

I thought the trailer was pretty funny too. It is possible of course that they used the best bits for it but I do like watching some pretty dumb films like Superbad, which I've seen about 3 times because my teen puts it on every so often. However, if Jackass comes on I disappear even though the film version has Luke in it.
