What kind of girls does Luke like?

Well if you look back at Luke's past girlfriends that we know of, Drew Barrymore, Gwyneth Paltrow, Soundis, Andrea and current, he doesn't seem to have a particular type - tall, short, blonde, brunette, redheads, skinny, average, never overweight - except they've usually had some sort of career. I'm surprised that at least one of the Wilson brothers hasn't settled down 'properly' but that could be due to their career choice and lifestyle. Although other actors seem to manage a family life and film career, not many I must admit and often these marriages are very short lived or as the blind items would have us believe of certain really famous families that the men are secretly gay!

I agree with Lonegazer. Luke doesn't seem to have any discernible particular 'type' that he prefers. As has been pointed out, his ladies have varied in looks and careers. If he does have a 'type' preference, it must be something "hidden," hidden in the sense that his type preference cannot be detected in photos. All his girlfriends may have shared a common characteristic that appeals to Luke, such as a certain level of intelligence or maybe a similar sense of humor that clicks with Luke.

You do make a good point when you observe that Luke & Meg seem to have a spent a good deal of time together and should have an inkling by now if they'd be a good marriage. Yet, still no engagement announcement - unless they're keeping it top secret. So maybe they are just good friends. Who knows?

Somebody said a few years ago here that it could be that Luke and Owen and Andrew have remained single so long because they just can't find a woman who measures up to their mother. Of course, it's all speculation but there could be a grain of truth in that.

I've never found a man who measures up to my father. (Certainly my ex-husband did not). ;D

Edited to add: Additionally, because there are so many Hollywood divorces (Andrew is divorced) maybe they are just very cautious. Since their parents are still married to each other, maybe they want to play the field for a long time because, when they do settle down, they want it to be forever.
