I'm not familiar with Alan Partridge. I take it it is a British TV show? Can Steve Coogan be a lead in a movie? I would say that Ben and Owen's parts would have to be pretty big to draw people in. I could of course be totally wrong and it could be a smash hit--you never know!

I can't see how an Alan Partridge film would attract a worldwide cinema audience. It would have to be a really fantastic script as even the best actors can't guarantee ticket sales anymore.

no i don`t think he could open a movie, but he is a skilled writer,i just think some ppl r better at supporting roles or t.v..and with alan partridge the humour is a little regional english.but ricky gervais has a nice following in america, nobody in great britain would have thought gervais and sasha baron cohen would find success in america.

Coogan takes Partridge to HollywoodSteve has become close fiends with Ben and Owen and they are both big Partridge fans - the word is they're both to be involved in the film Spot the deliberate mistake - am I the only person who found this sentence very funny? As for Coogan playing a lead role - to my knowledge he has previously at least twice in films (not huge Hollywood ones) so there's no reason to suppose it's unrealistic. I'm not 100% convinced that Alan Partridge will suit a movie format, though... I'm trying to imagine how they would do it and I'm failing, but I'd be interested to see what they can come up with.
