SourceSome of the older articles call this movie a "comedy". #donotknow# Click Here and scroll down to the "links". "Middle Men" has a myspace, too. Here's a link to the synopsis from their myspace. LinkIt says on their website that it will be released May 2009.

OMG, I am soooo in trouble now! Luke shooting a movie in my city?? I say you are in an enviable position! You won't be getting much work done in the month of October! I really like Giovanni Ribisi (and his sister). I saw him once in NYC and he was very friendly. He is a Scientologist now though... dunno what that means - he might not be fun to be around.

James Caan, Gabriel Macht, Peter Stormare and Rachael Taylor have been added to the cast according to Vairety. LinkGabriel Macht was "Stackhouse" in BEL, and it's wonderful that James Caan and Luke will get to work together again!

Thanks Remi! I'd love to run into James Caan while he's here too! Now, if only someone could narrow the location down a bit....Phoenix is a big area if you include all the suburbs & cities surrounding it!

Thank you Channel 15 for narrowing down my search a bit!! www.abc15.com/news/local/story.aspx?content_id=d12c8750-9925-4f24-810a-03be5302fd87Does anybody know if they film on weekends? I wonder where he'll stay. There's really only one nice hotel downtown and that's the Hyatt. But he could stay at a nearby resort where all the celebs seem to stay and have one of those drivers pick him up every day. I don't typically hang out at the bars downtown unless there is an event down there. There are 2 main sports arenas down there, so maybe he'll take in a game while he's here. Let's see...the Diamondbacks are playing golf now instead of baseball, so that's out. There's minor league hockey or the Suns are starting back up. That's it!! He'll definitely take in a basketball game at some point! I'll be coming up with all kinds of excuses to head downtown over the next two months. It would be fun to see some of the filming, but I may just have to hit some sports bars too.

Come on Wilsonettes.....doesn't anybody have any advice for me? I have tomorrow afternoon free...should I head downtown to see if there is any filming going on? I've seen some casting calls for extras, but unfortunately, I don't exactly fit the parts they are looking for...big burly Russians, African American club goers, mafia type. There might not be anything to see I guess, if they are filming indoors. But you never know, I might catch a glimpse of Luke! And I'll be sure to hit every Starbucks in the downtown area.

Heck, I would go. I remember hanging out in Evanston, a town not too far from where I grew up waiting to catch a glimpse of Michael J Fox shooting a movie...hmmm was that about 25 yrs ago? Also ask TG, she'll tell you my Barry Gibb driveway story!

Chevygirl: You go, girl. I know I wouldn't have the nerve myself but Luke's never filmed anywhere near where I am in Podunk, NY. If you go to check the filming out over the weekend you'll probably spot Meg before Luke (not that you want to see her). I mean how many 6' tall blondes are there in the world? I'm sure you'll know how to blend in. It's easy in a Starbucks to blend in. Hey, if you see him, are you going to approach. I think I'd just quietly gawk. Whatever you wind up doing, be sure to fill us in. Good luck on your mission should you choose to accept it!!

It's too late to say it now, but I hope you did go, Chevy. What did you have to lose but a few gallons of gas to get there? Nothing ventured, nothing gained. That's what I say. ;D
And remember, some of us got together in Austin in the hopes of seeing TWBS and maybe - JUST maybe - a glimpse of one of the Wilsons - IF we got lucky. Well, as you've read from the TWBS threads, it got WAY better than that! Maybe you'll have the same luck we had. I sure hope so!!
Oh, as far as filming on the weekends go, I don't know the entertainment industry but my hunch is to doubt that they do - union restrictions, ya know. Although unions today have little to no clout so maybe that doesn't apply anymore. Librarian might be of more help.
I hope to hear from you that you did decide to go downtown.

Well my fellow Luke lovers, I did take the drive downtown yesterday and did not see anything that looked like a film was being made. I went to the street that was in the tv news report and all I saw were some cars parked in the street. So I checked the surrounding streets for any big trucks or lots of people hanging around and found nothing. I guess they took the weekend off and if Luke was smart, he went golfing! The weather is beautiful this weekend! I did rubberneck at the one Starbucks I passed and only saw 1 person inside, 1 person outside at a table and 1 homeless man with a cart. Gotta love downtown. Well maybe next time. Ohhhh Luuuuke....come out come out wherever you are!

chevygirl: Thanks for putting the effort in to see Luke & sorry you didn't see him. You saw the pics in the Luke pics section so maybe he isn't in Phoenix yet. How would anyone know that.
