I'm in my Chicago office this week and staying at a different hotel as my favorite was booked. This morning I ventured into the hotel restaurant desperate for a caffeine fix and almost fainted when I was greeted by a gorgeous blond who.....I am totally serious.... could be Owen's twin. It was uncanny...he even had a crooked nose. I couldn't help but ask him if anyone had ever told him he looked like Owen Wilson. He laughed and said he gets it all the time. I couldn't get over it....he even seemed to have the walk. I thought it might be fun to share other "Owen 2" sightings. Anyone else had an encounter with a waiter, teacher, cab driver, etc. etc. that is an Owen "ringer"? This particular "Owen" is at "Primehouse: David Burke Restaurant" at "The James Hotel" in Chicago. I usually just grab and go on the way to the office but I'm definitely going to go for the sit down breakfast tomorrow. If any of you Wilsonettes are in Chi-town feel free to join me.... I'll be the one drooling in my eggs.

That's quite a story, Sunset. ;D Too bad you didn't get a photo of him but I suppose it would have been embarrassing to request it even if you had a camera with you.

I had a thought. Think of the possiblilities that it really is Owen. When you asked if anyone told him he looked like Owen, I think he would really say that he gets it all the time, so he wouldn't draw attention to the fact that he really is. He could be there doing research for a movie. I have way too much time on my hands.

Hey, I'm near Chicago. In the burbs to the north about 35 minutes from the city, actually. I was thinking that if this guy gets asked a lot, maybe he is used to having his picture taken. If not, I would think he would be flattered if you did ask....just a thought.
Bummer that I have not met any O2's or even an O1!

Okay...here's the weird thing. When I asked the "Owen" question he also said "Wouldn't it be funny if someone came in a restaurant and there was Owen Wilson was working as a waiter?" I thought it was a bit of an odd response. #hmm# Only problem is the nose was not quite as crooked and the voice/accent was all wrong. He also had on these funky black glasses (which actually looked really cool) and he was quite tall- well over 6 ft. So...no...I don't think there's any chance it was "Owen 1"...but definitely worth a major double take. #passout# Unfortunately I was running late this morning and had to skip breakfast so no Owen 2 sighting (and sorry, no chance to check for a ring SP ;D) Tonight I'm back in one of my regular hotels so I can be within easy walking distance of work. SLD1164....which 'burb are you in? I'm in Chicago all the time (my office is on S. Michigan across from Millen. Park) My primary office is downstate though and that's where I live (when I'm not in a hotel).
