OMG, yes Luke was adorable and adorably nervous on David tonight. The tie-tugging is a classic sign of nervousness. Don't know why as I've seen him more relaxed on TV at other times. His jacket looked very nice with the black slacks. The tie looked a little skinny; maybe skinny ties are back in fashion. As always charming with the cute stories. Nice going, Luke! ;D

Thanks for the show updates. I cant wait to see it!! #hmm# usually he seems relaxed on those things, wonder why he was so nervous, maybe because he hasnt done any talk shows recently.

Okay, so get this.....I'm watching Letterman last night, patiently waiting for him to get done with his thing so he can bring Luke out. Finally, Dave says "up next, actor Luke Wilson" and they go to commerical. About 2 commercials later, my freaking cable went out!! WTH? Of all the nights, it has to do this at exactly the time I need it to be ON??? I'm frantically running around the house turning on all the tv's, just in case it was that particular cable box. No such luck. Seriously, I thought I was going to cry! Then, just as I'm about to throw something, it comes back on as the last commercial is ending. Got to see the whole interview, even though the cable was still acting up a bit. So anyway, I thought he looked really sharp in that suit! Oh my! Thought it was cute the way he kept tugging at that tie. Reminded me of The Family Stone...."would take off that goddamn tie?" A little nervous, but in a good mood....fun interview!!

I too thought Luke seemed nervous but in a cute kind of way. He was tapping the chair a lot in addition to tugging the tie...and he kept blushing......awwww Loved how we was just sprawled out in the chair with his legs all spread out. If only he'd worn a kilt. After all our discussion, Dave didn't even "go there" about Owen. I hope now that the ice is broken, Luke will do lots more media about Henry Poole. I'd love to see him on Conan.

Sun, I liked how he was all spralled out too. You would think that would make him more relaxed! And I like how he rested his hand there in his lap. yum.
I think your right, susan. I think it might be b/c he hadn't done any in a while. Plus, that was a LONG interview. He had to remember lots of stories.
Wonderful though. I'll keep my eye out for video.

I thought it was a great interview! I didn't see his shoes, but I have NO complaints about what he was wearing... or his hair... or anything. He was very charming and looked great! He didn't come across has nervous to me at all - I think he's always sort of fidgety, isn't he? Remi, proud member of The Owens Brothers Fanclub. ;D Thanks for the pre-show pics, Trikc!

I'm so glad Dave didn't ask Luke any pointed questions about Owen. I'm sure Luke is glad too. Maybe Dave assured Luke he wouldn't ask.

Luke has a tendancy to do something during an interview like rub his face with his hands, play with his tie, etc. I think its cute either way. I just had to laugh at Luke's Dr. Who story because i have my own personal beef with the show You see when i was little my local PBS affiliate used to play Dr. Who after the children's programming. The opening theme song and the visuals scared the crap out of me and ive never forgotten it. Here's what i mean... www.youtube.com/watch?v=WdVivT0ShC4Apparently Luke has some Dr. Who fans disgruntled with his funny story www.youtube.com/watch?v=DImKVksGs5kI think this has been one of Luke's best talk show appearances.

Thanks for the disgruntled youtube link! My stepdad used to watch Dr. Who all the time....personally, I thought it was weird. But I know there are a lot of fans out there, so to each his own.

I have a friend who's my age who was (and is!) a Dr Who fan, and Tom Baker is her fave Dr Who. (Several actors have taken his part). I never got into the show but I was a Trekkie. I can see why that opening would be scary for a little kid, mixedberry. For me, my scary opening was the old Twilight Zone TV show (1959-1964). Man, as soon as that music started, I was on my guard! The voice is that of the show's creator/executive producer, Rod Serling: www.youtube.com/watch?v=tifmqKz34V4&feature=relatedLuke always tells great stories when he appears on talk shows. Hard for me to choose which one was the best appearance. It was so nice to see him back again. I wonder if Owen will ever appear on such a show, even to open Marley And Me. He might as long as they agree to not ask him anything about you-know-what. He has said he does not care to do talk shows, so I don't know.
