I am really a lucky bunny Does anyone remember I wrote on this board that I sent a letter to Owen? I sent it in early April along with the photo of that poster to thank him for being so nice at the premiere. I received this from him (well, his assistants!) today: "Junko" is my real name by the way, sorry I told you all it is Machiko. I didn't mean to lie to you and I am not hiding I am Junko, but I just don't want to be called "Junko" in English because it sounds and looks like "JUNK" (though it means "pure" in Japanese). I am Machiko everywhere on the internet. I am just SO VERY VERY HAPPY It was VERY VERY VERY NICE of Owen to sign this and of his assistants to arrange to send this to me. Thank you so much Polly for posting the address of TWC! And scorey was so right when she said: What you might want to do is just write a really nice fan letter. I know they ask you to include a picture, but generally if you write a nice letter, they will send you an autographed pic with some sort of generalized letter back. That way you won't have to pick a favorite. LOL because I didn't enclose an addressed envelope or anything. Thank you scorey! Everyone, let's follow her advice ;D The stamp says it was posted on June 23rd from Santa Monica. So I think Owen signed it shortly after he came back from the East Coast. I can't believe I made them pay $1.60 for the postage

That's strange, I see the pic just fine... and oh what a treat! Natalie, it's a close-up pic of Owen from Shanghai Noon. Bunnypanda, Junko is a perfect name for you because you are PURELY sweet! I am just so happy for you that you got an autograph from Owen... written just for YOU! Just think, Owen TOUCHED THAT PIECE OF PAPER! Hee hee, you've got his fingerprints now. I sent hand-drawn portraits to Luke & Owen to 2 different addresses for them on Wilshire Blvd in Los Angeles. That was 8 months ago. Never got anything back, but I didn't expect to anyway. Either O&L never got the portraits, or they did and they HATE them!

Yeah photobucket was down again earlier but it is back up now OH GOD texasgal!!! OF COURSE Owen and Luke LOVE your portraits!!! I am 200% SURE of it. But I REALLY hope they got them!!! Maybe the letter you sent to Owen to the address of TWC reached him. I think you will get a similar autograph from him in one month or so because you sent your letter about one month after I sent mine.

What a great autographed pict of Owen BunnyPanda! You'll treasure it always. I'm sure Owen remembered you from the S&H Premiere. You made quite an impression on him with your great poster. Junko is really a cute name, BunnyPanda. It reminds me a this little bird called the Junco. I especially see it around my birdfeeder in the winder. Slate grey and white and very small. Cute and very cheerful, just like you!

Capricious, thank you so much for saying what you did about Junko and Junco.
NOW I remember why Junko sounded so familiar to me. I'm from Michigan which is next door to Ontario where you are. It's probable Michigan & Ontario have the same wildlife. I'd forgotten about Junco birds. Thanks for the reminder!
I love the way Owen spelled out Junko's name in block letters. It's as if he wanted to be certain he spelled it correctly. Very consistent with the gentleman he always appears to be.
He spelled his own name like Om Wils.
Om, as in a mantra. Ah Owen, you are my mantra! ;D

Those little birds are great. They truly inspire me to go outside in the dead of winter. If they're out there in the freezing temperatures and all that snow, well so can I, and they don't even get to come in for Hot Chocolate! Poor little things - I guess that's why I have my bird feeders. It's the best I can do for them.
Texasgal - Yes, Michigan and Ontario are so similar in many ways. If it wasn't for the international border, you'd swear it was all the same. Are you feeling home sick for the Michigan's winters? I doubt it. Ha! Ha! But maybe the lakes and the trees in those great summers.
I love the way Owen signs his name too. It's so lefty!
