Chubby Cherub I didn't mean he was fat, I just meant it's kind of a bad angle. However, he is drop-dead gorgeous, as always And I must say, lovely teeth ;D

These aren't my favorite pictures of Luke - but lately they've been helping me through a Luke dry spell. Don't ask me why I am so into these photos. They are from the film, Bad Seed - which is a bit of a bore, but worth renting for the Luke footage. (Not to mention appreciating Luke in his first serious role - which he nailed.) Tell me if they 'do it for you'. and ... Thanks to Wilson-brothers.com.

Excuse Me--"Bad Seed?" Sounds more like a recent Owen Rumor detailing a strip joint or clandestine venture...
Thanks for the heads up on a rainy afternoon rental- (he looks so young). I could use a visual treat right now, as the gas in the Luke tank is pretty low... Either that or rewatching Bottle Rocket and completing my original version of Cliffnotes for a select intense few...

Bad Seed was originally titled Preston Tylk and was changed to Bad Seed by some misguided execs. I think the name changed hurt the film which was challenged from the beginning. Everyone thought it was going to be a remake of the 1950's thriller about the evil little girl.
The DVD has some interesting extras - like commentary with Luke and the writer/director and a some interviews. Definitely worth renting. In the commentary, Luke does a great impression of Dennis Farina and talks about playing golf with him. Quite funny.

I enjoyed "Bad Seed" as well. Luke did very well in the dramatic role. Didn't you just want to hug him when he was crying?? I think I'll have to rent this movie again. It's been awhile, and like all of you have said, we need our "Luke Fix" during this dry spell. I pulled out my "Luke Tape" a couple of weekends ago to do just that!

I must say that I have never seen a crying man that was more adorable than when Luke was crying in that movie.

I'm going to cry! He looks so handsome but I can't see this movie, it is yet another one that has never been released in New Zealand (I don't think). Dammit, I want to see him cry! ... Is that bad of me? All I should want to see him is happy. LOL

Bad Seed- Bad Title and Bad story. Luke, however was a glowing diamond in a tarnished setting. He looks great and emotes anger, angst, anguish, agitation, aggravation, anxiety, and agony. Is that enough of an A-list to promote this guy into his current status as an actor? I think so. He looks like the only one who went to acting class and stayed awake during the final. Got an A in the class too! That long distance running style is also in evidence and keeps him miles ahead of the critics.
I'm always ten steps ahead of the plot in a sleeper thriller, but by the time the ending rolled around with this one, even my two limp alternate theories would have given it box office survival for at least another week or so. Yowser! When Luke hits the bathroom floor with the gun to his head...the audience is about ready to join him there and arm wrestle for weapon possession. Before we start shooting that pistol- it's worth a second watch just to absorb the man and cheer on -what we know will be his future success and personal triumphs....

I haven't seen this movie yet - as either Preston Tylk or Bad Seed. (And yes, I would have assumed from the title that it was going to be about the child murderess.)
Luke crying? How heartbreaking. He cried a little in Committed, but that was more of a whimper cry. It must be really hard to cry on command. I suppose an actor just has to remember and re-live a very sad time in their life. Still, that would be hard to do in just the right way at the right time.
Thanks for the reviews & recommendations. I'll definitely look for it.

Definitely worth the rent to watch an A lister in the making. Thanks to Lib or Legally Lukes for the tip. LL - We are going to ship you out on a "Bottle Rocket" if you don't get around to seeing this landmark movie...you virgin! It's like graduating from high school and the counselors just found out you can't sign your own name, girl. Bottle Rocket is basic Wilson/Anderson Primer... I bet even Tom Hanks had a copy of the video Fed X'd out to him on his island in "Castaway..." After all, he had a Wilson with him... You are in for such a treat LL HurlT

I am deficient in every way. I've not seen the holy grail of Wilson-ness. I must hide away in shame... I will see it soon. I've just got a new weekend job in a video store, would ya believe. I'm going to recommend they buy it, ASAP.
