You can probably tell (duh) but this topic has really got me thinking. I associate so many important milestones with music. I've loved reading the lyrics to everyone's Owen songs.
leslee-your selection of "physical" has me cracking up. How true...how true.....

I've been thinking about Shattered Peace's question about "couple songs" and *warning* I'm about to get sentimental again.
I'm going to show my age here, but when my husband and I first started dating he took me to a Styx concert. When Dennis DeYoung and crew began playing "Babe" we started making out like crazy. It still makes me
He was in the military at the time. I was just out of high school and fell head over heels the minute we met. He looked sooooo handsome in his uniform. #crazylove#
Anyway, I guess I'd have to say that "Babe" was our "first song."
Now, after 20+ years of marriage, and 3 children, I'd say "Fields of Gold" (written by Sting but as sung by Eva Cassidy) is the song I think of as "our song." To me it expresses how wonderful (and at times difficult), it can be to love someone through all that life brings. If you've never heard the Eva Cassidy version it's beautiful.
Fields Of Gold
You'll remember me when the west wind moves
Upon the fields of barley
You'll forget the sun in his jealous sky
As we walk in fields of gold
So she took her love for to gaze awhile
Upon the fields of barley
In his arms she fell as her hair came down
Among the fields of gold
Will you stay with me, will you be my love
Among the fields of barley?
We'll forget the sun in his jealous sky
As we lie in fields of gold
See the west wind move like a lover so
Upon the fields of barley
Feel her body rise when you kiss her mouth
Among the fields of gold
I never made promises lightly
And there have been some that I've broken
But I swear in the days still left
We'll walk in fields of gold
We'll walk in fields of gold
Many years have passed since those summer days
Among the fields of barley
See the children run as the sun goes down
Among the fields of gold
You'll remember me when the west wind moves
Upon the fields of barley
You can tell the sun in his jealous sky
When we walked in fields of gold
When we walked in fields of gold
When we walked in fields of gold
