It seems like it takes a long time to make a movie and longer to get it out. Have you noticed? By the time the movie comes out, it is two year later.

Yes, the post-production period is longer than the production period - although I think one year is the more usual time period, not two. I don't know everything that's involved but post-production is when the music and sound effects are added, and the editing is done. I'm not in the business, and that's all I know about it.
