A nice idea for a thread, Armywife. I am in San Antonio, Texas. The weather had been warm and sunny until last night. I was having dinner outside in the "sukkah" at my synagogue with some friends when a cool front blew in. A breeze blew, and the temperature dropped about 10 degrees. Today's high was in the high 70's where a couple of days ago it was 90. I think this cooler weather is to last through the weekend, and it's also supposed to rain - which we need badly anyway. The leaves are still green and summery. We get little fall color in south Texas. Leaves do fall but not until later in November.

My sister called and asked me about the weather yesterday morning. She told me about the weather you guys were having. Holy Moly. You will have to shovel your sidewalks for the trick or treaters.

I live in England, the county of Essex and it's just starting to get chilly in the mornings and at night. The leaves are beginning to turn into brilliant, reds, golds, yellows and browns and they've just started falling from the branches. It's also very windy and rainy here today. I would say Autumn is getting under way.
