I get a bit nauseus if I'm up really high but only if I were somewhere very high up really... its if I look down, so the saying in my case is correct, dont look down! lol

I just watched "the Real Tomb Hunters Snakes, Curses and Booby Traps." It's a History channel show, but I don't have cable or dish, so I rented it out of the Redbox. It was real interesting watching the real stuff that happens to archeologists, how it's not like Indiana Jones.

Thank you, Startip. That sounds interesting. I have History Channel but missed that show. Archeology is one of the professions I was interested in - but for the the snakes and scorpions and other critters you have to encounter!
Last week History Channel was doing the whole week on end-of-times predictions. That 2012 thing is really fascinating - especially when you consider that so many different and unrelated traditions all suggest something big happening in 2012; specifically, December 21, 2012. A Hopi Indian suggested that it might not necessarily indicate the end of everything but rather just the end of one age and the beginning of another.

At church they talked about the end times being very near, maybe not in our lifetime, but near. I have to confess though, haven't been to church lately. I have a problem with organized religion telling me what movies are OK to view, or not OK, such as Harry Potter, or Golden Compass. I also have some issues with the bible, but feel I need to learn more about it. I am totally fascinated by religion though, and love to watch Science of the Bible when ever I accidently come across it.

What the History Channel was featuring wasn't the Christian interpretation. The Christian interpretation is well-known, and History was talking about ideas that aren't so well-known. Christianity doesn't necessarily point to 2012 either, to the best of my knowledge. The History Channel special was about astronomy and how there's a major alignment in the Milky Way to take place in 2012. But the fact that there are religious and spiritual (non-Christian) traditions that couldn't have known the science but that have something to say about 2012 is rather eerie.

I recently rented the documentary "Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers: Runnin' Down a Dream" from Netflix. Netflix sent me my copy of this in time for the weekend and it was amazing! I'd forgotten how much he'd done, and half of it I'd never known in the first place. I think Full Moon Fever and Southern Accents were when I first became aware of Tom Petty, since that's when I was old enough to choose to my own music. It was great learning the history and some of the back story. I loved every minute of it, and I'm playing Tom Petty right now! Thanks so much for the recommendation. It was 4+ hours well spent.

I'm so glad you liked it, Blue! I watched it again yesterday, off and on. It's very addicting. I saw TP and the HB for the first time in the early 80's. I reluctantly went with my boyfriend, my best friend and her boyfriend. I had such a great time! After that, I was completely hooked for a few years, and I saw them twice in concert after that - both times, within 5 rows from the stage. I missed alot of their stuff in the mid-90's up until now... so it was nice to catch up! And it's re-energized my love for them! Did you notice the Wilson connection? (Rick Rubin) Also, I'm not sure if you knew this or not and they didn't show it on the DVD, but Luke is in TP's "Swingin" video.
