Does anyone like the Winter Olympics? I personally love them. I only watch the winter ones, not the summer ones. I got home late and just started watching the Opening Ceremony....so far it looks really good. I'll have to watch the rest later because I was taping it. It is making me homesick for Italy though. Anyway, I can't wait to watch the games! We can chat about the Olympics here.

I like to watch the opening ceremony too, but tonight I missed it. There are some sports I like to watch and try to watch as much as I can. I'm sorry you're missing Italy so much. Do you have any plans to go back in the near future?

I thought the opening ceremonies were really awesome! I really liked them. Loved the F1 Ferrari doing donuts! Not sure when I'm going back to Italy. But I miss Italy when I'm here for a long time and then I miss the USA when I'm there a long time. Story of my life.

I watched most of the opening ceremonies. I thought they were pretty awesome! Loved the Ferrari & the skaters with flaming helmets!! The lighting of the torch was really cool too! I can't wait to see the downhill events, bobsledding & my personal favorite - ice skating.

Yes, I really loved the lighting of the torch. That was really cool! I love all the ice skating, speed skating, skiing, snowboarding. I like most of the events. I don't know what channel to watch. They are on NBC, USA, CNBC.

I missed most of the opening ceremonies. I love the Winter Olympics! Especially the skiing and skating. I never could skate worth a crap, but I used to tear up the slopes!

They were awesome Remi! NBC showed them twice. They replay what they show from 8PM to 11PM at 1AM to 4AM...so if you miss something, you can tape it or whatever. I know what Chad Hedrick did, but I'm waiting to watch it! I love the men's speed skating. And Chad is pretty cute too. I can't wait for more figure skating coverage.

Chad is cute - when does the speed skating come on? I'm a Bode fan! WoooHooo! I wish they'd show these thing LIVE! At least on the weekends! Why do they have them on so late? Come on! I'm an old lady.

Chad has some cute pictures of himself up on his site, in the "Skates Off" section. He even has a phone message he sent in from Torino up on his site. Pretty neat. Supposedly the speed skating is gonna come on soon. I can't wait. EDITED: It's starting now! I know, I wish they'd show them live too! And you're not old Remi!

It's too bad that Michelle Kwan dropped out of the Olympics. I really wanted her to win the Gold in Figure Skating this year. Oh well. I just feel really bad for her.

It is too bad about Michelle. I was really hoping she could get the gold this time. But Shaun White got a gold in snowboarding! Woo Hoo!

I feel so out of the loop. I haven't seen a second of the Olympics so far. Normally, I like to watch the O. games.
I was sorry to hear on the news that Michelle Kwan had to drop out. I feel sorry for her. I'm not sure how old she is, but she's been in competitive skating for quite a while. Given what must be her age, it would seem this must be her last Olympics. Won't she be a little old to compete in the next winter games given the short sports life of an Olympian?

The newspaper article that I read today said that she is 25. I thought she was a bit older since they had been saying she had spent a decade trying to get the Gold medal. Wow! Just watched Shaun White and Mr. Bode Himself-very exciting indeed. Poor Bode. Beth

Michelle is younger than I thought. She must have started competing at age 15 or something. She's probably good for one more Olympics.

They say she is "too old" to compete in the next Olympics. Isn't that crazy?! Too old! There are other people that are a lot older in other sports...but I guess you have to be really young to compete in figure skating. Who knows!
